My name is David Coxe and I am a Real estate broker in New Orleans. I know from personal experience that Acorn is a Well protected Criminal Enterprise. From 1994-1999 I was targeted by Acorn and they were trying their worst to force me out of business by use of the New Orleans Police Department, the Health Department and the Sewerage & water Board of New Orleans.
After the second Frivioulas lawsuit launched by Acorn in 1996 and I refused to shut down my business despite being pulled over and ticked almost weekly by NOPD, Acorn decided they would shut me down one way or another.
This is what they pulled:

A former Attorney of Mine Jean Calhoun was representing a Tulane University Student by the name of Heather Bracko, who had just been arrested on prostitution charges by NOPD. Ms Calhoun took Ms Bracko to the lead Attorney’s at Acorn, Spencer Livingston and Alexandra Mora and forced Ms Bracko to lease an apartment from me. If she did as told NOPD would erase her arrest and they did.

Then at a certain time she was to file a police report that I has Raped her in her apartment. This she did on December 1 of 1998 and I was arrested , beaten and slandered all over the news in New Orleans as the Uptown Rapists.
After I spent 4 months as a guest of the State of Louisiana, and was then aquited, I still had no idea who it was who made the accuations. When the Then DA announced he was retiring, I was able to capture the entire District Attorney’s work product and I found out the name of who accused me of Rape. I then took the file to an attorney in Baton Rouge, LA and hire a Private investgator.

What the Investigator found out from inside Acorns office:

The head of the Sex Crime Unit was Lt. Benelli and he was also the head of the Police Union. Acorn ran the police Union. Connect the dots.

Also there was a great deal of Federal grant fraud. It turns out the City of New Orleans
was giving to Acorn real Estate that had been taken back for Taxes. With each property came a $50,000 Grant from HUD to renovate and then to be sold to low income families. This did not happen. What did happen was that these properties were then placed into dummy corporations and then placed under Section 8 rentals. Last totaled, Acorn had stolen 200 properties prior to the 2005 storm.

Nowfor the really good part: if each property had an income from section 8 of $1000 per month time 200 times 12 months how much of your money was stolen.

The lawyers at Acorn could not get away with such an act unless they were bribing people at City Hall of New Orleans, HANO and HUD. They are well protected within HUD and the State Of Louisiana and most importantly the DOJ and the United States Attorney.

From the time Ms Bracko found out I that I had discovered she had accused me of Rape and I had found out that Jean Calhoun was behind my arrest, I received threats from the new Orleans Police Department . My Attorney in Baton Rouge got 2 death threats and ran like a child.
