Terrified Left-wing ‘Kamikaze Media’: Why ACORN Child Prostitution Scandal, Radical Czar Van Jones Scandal Have Been Ignored (video)

One of my favorite writers at Big Hollywood, John Nolte, wrote an excellent essay this week on our rabid leftist media. Nolte believes the MSM have been so deliberately dense and “clueless” on the ACORN child prostitution/tax fraud scandal (helloooo, Charlie Gibson!) and the “radical Communist czar in the White House” Van Jones scandal FOR A REASON that is NOT MEDIA BIAS, like we all have thought. No, it’s for a different reason according to Nolte.
And that reason is…
They are terrified, and they are clumsily providing terrified protection of Obama’s Left-Wing Statist Agenda. Nolte coins a brilliant new term (new for me, anyway) that I intend to borrow with gusto and frequency. “Kamikaze media.”
I love it.

…Yesterday the anchor of a major network (ABC) consciously chose to try and look like an imbecile rather than have to answer why he wasn’t covering what so far ranks as the biggest story/scandal of the year. And I say “try and look like an imbecile” because the ruse didn’t work. You, me and anyone with an IQ above room temperature knows he wasn’t telling the truth about not knowing anything about the ACORN scandal. The Manhattan/Cocktail Party Bubble is immune to many things – humility, tolerance – but we’re supposed to believe a network news anchor went two or three days without hearing ACORN was fired by the U.S. Census Bureau?
Of course, we’re not supposed to believe that. “Incredulous” doesn’t begin to describe the nonsense that came out of Gibson’s mouth. But fear makes you do stupid things, and short of wetting his pants, Gibson proved that.
The Palace Guards are … terrified.
The Palace Guards know full well how the “narrative” works and each of the stories they’ve ignored at crippling expense to their own integrity and relevance represents what terrifies them most … a string that could unravel The Whole Thing.

And we should stop referring to them as the “Dinosaur Media.” That misses an important point. The dinosaurs didn’t extinguish themselves. They were victims of meteors or Flintstone-made global warming or something.

“This has become his work full-time,” the elder O’Keefe said yesterday in a telephone interview from the family’s Westwood home. “He’s an extremely conscientious, hard-working young man, and we’re proud of him.”

That, and the Washington Post reports on how ACORN was just “playing along” with the sting artists who caught them on videotape. You knew that was coming, didn’t you? You already know that the freelance sting artists who zapped ACORN are being — and have been — referred to as “racists” and puppets of conservative radio and Fox News. Now, ACORN is utilizing a tried and true (but not very successful) tactic: Explaining that they were just “playing along” with the “ridiculous scheme.”
I’m old enough to remember the famous (or infamous) Abscam sting of the early 1980s. One of the representatives who was convicted of taking bribes — Richard Kelly — famously (and hilariously) defended his illegal actions by claiming he was “undertaking his own investigation” and “spent part of the [bribe] money to maintain his cover.” It didn’t work. Kelly spent thirteen months in the federal pen.

First of all, thanks for getting the info out there.
Bill Clinton stated that Obama was a thug.
Obama hasn’t seen anything like us.
The very fact that he thinks he can control the MSM. and pushing his policies past the American People is ignorance on the highest level.
His arrogance will take him down.
His ego will will take the socialist, (progressive) party down for years to come.
Maybe Michelle can go out and get Barack a hamburger, you know, just on a whim.
With each passing day the MSM is becoming weaker, less credible, and almost irrelevent. Fox News ratings are soaring and increasing by the day from what I understand. REAL journalists that still have at least some dignity are coming to Fox. I believe the backlash from the President of the United States openly claiming he hasn’t been paying attention to the ACORN scandal will be more severe than any of his calculating political pollsters would have imagined. Their arrogance is their Achilles heel.
