Mystery of 2 “L’s” on Google’s Homepage

Unusual screenshot of today’s Google homepage:
Why the strange double L’s in the logo, spelling “Googlle” instead of “Google”?
Mystery solved… Google is celebrating its 11th birthday today, September 27. The double L’s, visually depicted as “ll”, are meant to signify the number 11. Crafty critters over there, eh?
From Artuji:
The Google doodle is appearing worldwide as the date becomes September 27 in each time zone.
Interestingly, Google’s 10th birthday doodle was on their site on September 2nd instead of the 27th like it is this year.
Congrats on the 11th B-Day, Googlle, er, Google!

I thought this was maybe a google scam page at first until I found out otherwise.
Hmmm… SL, it didn’t occur to me that it could be suspected as such, but that makes sense. Nope, it’s not a scam page.
I was taken aback when I noticed the weird spelling of “Googlle” early this a.m. and did a bit of research as to why. They’re always mixing it up with the homepage with different graphics for holidays and such, but the 2 “L’s” really mystified me.
No scams, no trojans, no bots, no viruses here… just good ol’ fashioned conservative/frugal/political blogging with no nasty weirdness. Kinda like getting a hearty home-cooked meal at your Mom’s… LOL.
Thanks for the fantastic page – I had fun reading it! I always love looking at this blog.
