“Non-Partisan” ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis: Thank You and Vote Obama! (video)

Posted By on October 2, 2009

Bertha, Bertha, Bertha… the legal problems, investigations, and scandals of ACORN just keep growing, and this undeniably partisan video of you extolling presidential candidate Barack Obama back in October 2008 and telling people HOW to vote doesn’t make it any better for your corrupt organization.

Thought ACORN was a non-partisan, non-political non-profit organization, hence entitling it to federal funding? Uh, that’s their story, and they’re sticking to it… we don’t see no damning video!

Someone needs to send a memo to ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis that those justified “right-wing attacks and smears” last fall are the least of her worries these days. And providing a laundry list of other potentially corrupt “Little ACORN” organizations in this video wasn’t too smart.

Vote “EA” on the ballot… for “enough already” and “evict ACORN.”

A handful of comments from Big Government readers posted on Bertha Lewis: Help ACORN, Vote Obama!:

From ghHorse:

I think this violates IRS law for nonprofit 501C3 organizations.

Looks like the purpose of the criminal enterprise ACORN is to make Swiss cheese of tax law and elect Democrats.

From StlDan:

Using my money to do it!

From pjean:

Taxpayer dollars for non-partisan efforts. Hey! ACORN and company. We are now wide awake and you will be given NO TIME to sleep. Time to eat it.

From Jordan:

ACORN and Democrats are exposed for what they are…fraudulent criminals! Republicans, clean your house too. You know they are coming after you, looking for your criminal activities and fraud. REPUBLICANS, KEEP IT CLEAN!

From JohnO:

This video alone proves that ACORN is ineligible for even a dime of federal funds. If any of you are unlucky enough to live in one of the “ACORN 75″ districts, as I do, email your rep the YouTube link and ask them how they feel about their vote now. We have to stay on top of these people and let them know that we know what they are and what they’re doing.

From CliffD:

Wow! How surprising! The amazing thing about all of this to me, is how republicans missed this story for so long. There is no way politicians didn’t know about how partisan this group was. Hell, I knew! Why would they not have taken advantage of this earlier. Fear of being called racist, perhaps. Oh well, it was their funeral in ’08. I hope it was worth it.

From rtwngr:

And just who is it that is going to investigate it? the Democrats with their super majority or the justice Department that refused to look into the video of the armed Black Panthers intimidating voters?
