More creepiness and way too much information about the David Letterman extortion/sex escapades (would that be “sexcapades?)… more than most of us can stomach… big-time ewwww. We didn’t need to know that he doesn’t have to leave his office in order to have sex with female employees, thanks to his secret “private love suite” at the CBS Ed Sullivan Theater.

Another ewwww.

And not so secret now.

David Letterman extortion case exposes more details about Letterman’s history of trysts.

Another Late Show ex-staffer reportedly has stepped forward and said that like Stephanie Birkitt, she had an affair with David Letterman. She also spilled the beans on a private lair he kept for his employee flings.

TMZ.com reports that Holly Hester was a former worker on The Late Show with David Letterman, and sources say she stepped forward from her Los Angeles home this weekend to confess her own affair with David Letterman. “I was madly in love with him at the time,” Hester’s quoted saying. “I would have married him. He was hilarious.”

After Hester’s admission, another employee claimed to know a detail about Letterman’s history of affairs that hadn’t been disclosed yet, saying that when it comes to sex with his employees, “He doesn’t have to come out [of the studio]. He has a suite upstairs.”

Apparently Letterman referred to the room as “the bunker,” and insiders are saying that only his favorite female employees are invited.

The historic Ed Sullivan Theater is located just north of Manhattan’s Times Square, on Broadway between 53rd and 54th Streets.

The following can be dumped into the “Gee, better late than not at all” file… what a classless slimedog…

From ETonline: David Letterman Apologizes to his Wife During Show Taping

On the heels of his revelation that he engaged in sexual relationships with his female staffers, David Letterman has reportedly apologized to his wife Regina Lasko during a Monday taping of the “Late Show.”

In case you’ve missed this whole extortion enchilada about the late-night talk show host, here’s the strange, long-drawn recap of the emerging scandal in Letterman’s own embarrassing words.

In regards to Letterman’s glib, on-air commentary, here’s more background info from Zimbio: Accused Letterman extortionist innocent: attorney:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Comedian David Letterman did not tell the whole story when he described himself as the victim of a $2 million extortion plot by a TV news producer, an attorney for the producer said on Monday.

In interviews with U.S. network news shows, attorney Gerald Shargel, who is representing Robert “Joe” Halderman, said his client is innocent and the accusations against him do not make sense.

“David Letterman didn’t give his (Halderman’s) side of the story, David Letterman gave what he wanted the public to know,” Shargel said on NBC’s “Today” show.

“He wanted to get out ahead of the story, and that’s exactly what he did,” Shargel said of Letterman.

Shargel said it was unlikely that Halderman would have sought to extort Letterman by taking a $2 million check, because that is not how extortionists normally operate.

“In the history of extortions, I don’t believe there has ever been a case where someone was paid by check,” Shargel told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

On Thursday night, Letterman told audiences on his popular late-night TV talk program, “Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS, that he had been a victim in the extortion plot by a man who threatened to write a screenplay or book about “all the terrible stuff” Letterman had done.

The talk show host then admitted to having had sexual affairs with women on his program’s staff.

A representative for Letterman did not return phone calls seeking comment on Shargel’s statement.

  2. Paul says:

Letterman is fine; he never was the “Family Values” type. Yes, he probably cheated on his girlfriend now wife. But at least he does go around claiming he is Mr. “Family Values” like some of our politicians (can you just see the grin on all “Fake News” reporters/ commentators and the Palin fringe). This has been a tough summer, for Dave, for our economy but at least he did not end up on the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Sanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

    • admin says:

Excellent point on the Republicans who have had affairs, Paul, one that I’ve written about in a previous post. To me, an extramarital affair during a marriage is wrong. Period. I don’t draw a line, saying, “Oh, I’m Republican, so any unfaithful bastards in the GOP is A-OK with me. I can excuse that type of loathsome behavior if it was committed by a Republican. And being an unfaithful worm of a husband is fine if that person is in show business.” NO WAY.

It’s wrong. Period. Not just for one political party or another. Marriage is a sacred bond between two people, and I have no sympathy for violation of that bond. I’ve decried Sanford and other Republicans for being low-lifers and for not taking the high road, which you would know if you had read my previous posts. So, please clarify… are you saying only Republicans should be held accountable for their despicable infidelities, that only they should be expected to honor their marriage vows? I ask this because you seem to have carefully chosen to ignore mentioning the following unfaithful Democrat weasels (and this is just a short list) who have had publicized affairs:

Democrat Sen. John Edwards – with love child as a result
Democrat New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer
Democrat Florida U.S. Rep. Tim Mahoney
      Democrat Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick
      Democrat Kentucky Governor Paul Patton
Democrat West Virginia Governor Bob Wise
      Democrat Gov. David A. Paterson
Democrat Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa
Democrat Reverend Jesse Jackson (was a presidential candidate) – another love child as a result
Democrat Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom
      Democrat Kentucky Governor Paul Patton
      Democrat Colorado Sen. Gary Hart

The extramarital affairs of JFK, RFK, Ted Kennedy, and Bill Clinton are legendary. So don’t poke your finger into the light socket by weakly singling out unfaithful Republican leaders… Democrats have more than their fair share of vile “horn dogs.” GOP or Dem, IT’S WRONG.

Excusing Letterman because as you put it, he was “never a Family Values” type seems blatantly hypocritical. That would be like excusing a burglar from B&E crimes because he never was the “respect other people’s property” type. If cheating on a wife is OK for a liberal, it should be “OK” in your book for a conservative to cheat on his wife, too, right? Or is it one set of rules for one and a different set of rules for the other?

You standing up for Letterman being a sleaze, sleeping with female staff members, announcing it on national television and embarrassing his wife, and putting his female employees into a sexual harassment situation with his multiple sexual dalliances, because he’s a powerful figure in the entertainment world (and is/was their boss), sadly speaks volumes about your own moral compass… or lack thereof.

  3. Paul says:

I believe that the American people can see the distinction between a Late Night jokester and a Politician Or Religious Preacher who preaches one thing and lives another. And I also believe that the American people will have more compassionate about this situation, but who knows what the court case will reveal. I guess sexual harassment suit can be filed (I have not heard of one) but until then, who cares what consenting adults do. We all know that there are laws for regular folks and laws for those who have influence and power. Kinda like the military they all get different spanks for different ranks.

Let’s remember “Those who are not willing to give pardon and mercy are those that do not need pardon and mercy. By the way, who are any of us to cast stones?

Remember you always need to watch out for the people that are quick to cast stones and shout “Sinner” because they usually turn out to make the largest transgressions.

One minor point I clearly indicated 2009 or “Current Events” (“Republican 2009 Summer of Love”), but I see your point and to that end the couple of people that screwed the “Republican Party” in 2008 were Republican Senator Larry Craig (IA) and Representative, Mark Foley (FL), and former American Evangelical Pastor Ted Arthur Haggard or what people remember of them “bathrooms stalls, (underage) male interns, gay men hooker sex”.

I only wonder do all of you practice what you preach or have you been part of another “summer of love” List. Take care, had fun hear. Live the dream.
