The video below is the creepiest thing I’ve seen this week.

But I’ve not watched any new videos with public school children being taught by zealous Obama-bot teachers to worship Dear Leader Barack Obama, so this may not be as creepy as THAT. But, it IS creepy and baffling to watch grown adults become weak-kneed and pray to a mere mortal. Pray to a mortal whom they know virtually nothing about. One who is flesh and bones and not a holy being.

The question weighing on my mind… Why?

Why do these people allow themselves to be suckered in, be molded into robots to accept, embrace, and defend this sham? Why have intelligent people been convinced that worshipping a mere man is sane, prudent, logical?

I believe a great many Americans, for a year or longer, have been clinging to the hope that this one charming man is a god, a messiah. He’ll fix their lives, no matter what is wrong. They want him to wash away their pain, take away their guilt, forgive them their sins, create a fantasy utopia.

For many, they want Barack H. Obama to fill a spiritual void — be a 21-century Jesus Christ, a real-life Messiah. They want a happy-ending fairy tale because real life is too tough for them to handle.

And that “want” is powerful and seductive. Obama has made them believe he can erase this world’s harsh reality, magically plug their gaping hole of need within their bruised hearts, mend their disappointed lives. There are so many insecure, lost sheep are out there, needing spiritual guidance, but turning to a false prophet. And I’m not convinced that Obama is not enamored with the comparison, enjoying it, feeding into it and permitting people to place him on a lofty, holy pedestal that he not only does not deserve to be placed upon, but is blasphemous and vile.

Hopefully, many of these people are now wiping the childish fairy dust from their eyes and are waking sheepishly from their Messiah trance. They can now pull back the curtain and see A MAN with many flaws, a socialist agenda, and who faces his own mortality and his own personal hell every day, just like the rest of us. Obama is not a god. He should not be worshipped.

Sadly, though, many people still are not waking up from their dream from last year. I believe of those, many are choosing to not face the truth, as the false dream is far more pleasant and comforting than are the facts and reality.

Giving up on Obama would be synonymous to discarding their dreams. Something they cannot bear to do.

Pitiable.
