This isn’t really all that earth-shattering for much of the conservative blogosphere, since writing experts have said for many months that they had determined that American terrorist Williams Ayers was indeed Obama’s ghostwriter of Dreams of My Father. Their conclusion was based on numerous instances of pet terminology and distinctive syntax and all that kind of dead-giveaway rot. Kinda like a fingerprint. Similar or identical terms used in Obama’s autobiography have popped up with regularity in many of Ayers’ other writings.

The REAL story is… WHICH FRINGE MEDIA WILL DARE TO LOOK INTO THIS JUICY STORY FIRST?

I’m going to go with… hmmm…. maybe Jake Tapper. He’s the least obnoxious, in-the-tank fringe media member and has, on occasion, dared to go where Couric and Williams and Mitchell and Gibson loath and fear to tread. You know, down the road of REAL journalism.

All kidding aside, this is a big, very troubling story, provided Ayers isn’t lying. Either he’s lying or Obama’s lying.

And with both their mega-egos, it could go either way. But if it IS indeed true, this once again trips up The One in his 159th lie. (I made that number up, but if pressed, am sure I could quantify it). If Obama did not write the book and much of it is fictionalized or fashioned from Ayers’, not Obama’s, life, the implications are HUGE. So many people were drawn to Sen. Obama because of this book being his true life story. Not parts of the life story of terrorist Bill Ayers’. Not a work of fiction with a bit of reality worked in here and there.

This potential lie speaks volumes as to the president’s character and integrity, his blatant lack of honesty on something so personal… his published life story.

But for so many in the Democrat party, the omission of qualities of character and integrity always seems to be trivial, a non-issue, less important than “winning”… for elected Democrats or sometimes, for their wives (like Michelle Obama’s whopper to the IOC about sitting in her daddy’s lap at age 20 to watch Carl Lewis during the Olympics).

This lie about Obama’s autobiography doesn’t exactly compromise national security or relationships with allies or our Constitution or power-grabbing away American citizens’ rights. Instead, it may have far greater, negative impact. Obama’s followers may be hit profoundly deeper than more crucial national events and fabrications. Many will be horrifically mortified, deeply wounded because HIS BOOK IS A LIE. And they fell in love with that schmucky lie…

Anyone remember Milli Vanilli? ‘Nuff said…

Ayers could be lying, of course. Time will tell.

Ayers didn’t just help with the book, it appears he took entire sections of his own past and transformed them into Obama life stories. Why is this important? If Barack Obama lied about writing Dreams, and if in fact an unrepentant terrorist and self-described communist did indeed write the book, then all claims by Barack Obama from the beginning must now be reexamined. Also, the left is already attacking the ghostwriter for Sarah Palin’s new book as a “racist.” Really? You want to compare ghostwriters? This is like Timothy [McVeigh] ghostwriting John McCain’s book…
