My wife and I just posted 34 years.
As to the your grandchildren, fear not.
The folks out there, like Vicki, and Michelle, and Rush, and Mark, and Glenn, and many others across the nation are striving to re-institute conservative principles back into the school systems, that the libs have taken over.

With you and your wife’s wisdom, accumulated over many years, you can strengthen your grandchildrens’ resolve against the constant barrage of liberal principles being taught in the school systems today.
At least attempt to inspire them to review both sides of the argument.

I agree about American women. I’ve been married to one for 57 years……but she, like me, is in her 70′s. I fear for our granddaughters. I don’t believe they come from the same crucible. For too long now, our leftest indoctrination centers (AKA schools) have been leaching the starch from the American backbone. Granted, Vicki is a refreshing throwback but I wonder if she’s representative? We have tried to counter the schools with church and example but I often wonder if it isn’t too little too late?

I’m not worried about Obama’s \prize\…….just wonder what he traded for it?

Sarah Palin “made the mistake” of speaking her mind.
Vicki does the same thing. Both have a backbone and will not be put down.
George W. Bush made an effort , and succeeded to an extent, of freeing the Iraqi women, and the Afghan women to educate themselves, and basically live like a human being instead of being treated like cattle.

Lloyd,..you underestimate the power of the American Woman,..I know, I married a feisty one.

Don’t worry about Obama’s “reward”. It means nothing.

In the Movie, “Independence Day,” when they were finally able to decipher the aliens’ language, they asked it what they wanted us to do. It’s one word answer was, “Die!”
Precisely what the Taliban wants us to do. Total capitulation always leads to peace. When you are a slave, you always live at peace…….or you are killed. When everyone of the opposing voices are silenced either through death or intimidation, peace ensues.

The ancient world lived through a thousand years of Pax Romania, “Roman Peace” but all of the enslaved peoples chaffed under the Roman collar. There will be a winner in the present conflict. Either the Free peoples of the West or the Fundamentalist Jehadists of the East.

It has never been the nature of democratic states to enslave the people they conquer. Instead, we have spent freely of our own capital to reestablish their sovereignty. We can not expect the same from our present enemies. They will impose their form of peace. It will be a peace where people like our host will be rounded up and executed. Vicki has two unforgivable marks against her. She’s female and she has the audacity to speak her mind. That simply will not be allowed in the brave new world.

Since our president has just won the Nobel Peace Prize…..I think we should pay close attention to just which form of peace he has in mind for us.
