The Amazing Obama Inaction Figure... realistically based on the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack H. Obama

I’ve been checking out the liberal blogs today on this ridiculous peace prize for our POTUS. Seems a lot of liberals out there are also questioning the wisdom about someone who has merely TALKED about and not ACCOMPLISHED peace (or much less, accomplished anything else) receiving the award.

Based on this logic and criteria, I’m willing to bet there are at least 100 Sunday School teachers in Texas, Utah, or South Carolina who are better qualified for the Nobel Peace Prize than POTUS. Heck, nominate TV’s Lassie posthumously, for cryin’ out loud. She actually “saved” lives (remember Timmy in the well?) and likely thought about peace often… so what if it was a hokey TV show and we were fooled into thinking Lassie was really a female dog? Or maybe nominate Kermit the Frog… I know he’s a puppet, but he sang that “green” song, after all. He’s more sincere about the environment than Al Gore, another Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

And none of them would snub the Dalai Lama, either… Lassie wouldn’t, that’s for darned sure.

Yes, the lack of wisdom to fairly evaluate quantifiable accomplishments, demonstrated by this absurd win, escapes Republicans, Democrats, and Independents… even the United Kingdom is taking potshots at it.

A number of I’m-really-cool-with-it libs are saying they’re GLAD this happened, though, because they think that all conservatives’ heads will explode, and hey, that makes Obama getting this undeserved international prize SO WORTH IT. Strange way to look at it, but I think I’m starting to understand the illogical thinking processes of a majority of liberals. Many have posted online that they are particularly interested in how Rush Limbaugh will treat this development on today’s radio show (which is still broadcasting as I type). Listenership for El Rushbo should soar today. On the flip side, no one, and I do mean NO ONE, is speculating on which part of Chris Matthews’ body will be tingling today. And that is a good thing, I dare say.

Funny stuff, heh heh. Hey, libs, how about all the DEMOCRATS’ heads that are exploding about the, uh, less than congratulatory reaction from both sides of the political fence? Yeah, I know… if you joke about The One, you’re a terrorist. Unless you’re a misguided Democrat, then it’s OK. Or maybe it isn’t… maybe EVERYONE, including Democrats, who joke about this is a bloodthirsty terrorist.

The DNC is officially taking pointers today from CNN on how to demonstrate absolutely no sense of humor and, all on their own, are resorting to petulant, harumphing name-calling. At least we’re not being called racists by the DNC… not yet. Give it time, the race card will come flying out before the day is over. LOL.

A top Democratic National Committee official reacted furiously to a statement from Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele mocking — and describing as “unfortunate” — President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize.

“The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize,” DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse told POLITICO. “Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize – an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride – unless of course you are the Republican Party.

“The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It’s no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it’s an embarrassing label to claim,” Woodhouse said.

Even in a political environment where the two major parties send out ridiculous ding-dong reactions to events, this takes the cake. Woodhouse argues (almost assuredly uncomprehendingly) for a fuehrerprinzip where the head of state must never be questioned or criticized, lest one become a traitor to the fatherhomeland. Will Woodhouse also start labeling late-night comedians like Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien terrorist sympathizers for their (very) occasional ridicule of His Reverence? Does Janet Napolitano plan to open a file on Saturday Night Live for last week’s prescient dig?

Clearly, the DNC needs a smarter class of public-relations flacks.

Fark.com points out, “There were 205 candidates & 33 on the short list. That short list included Prime Minister Tsvangirai of Zimbabwe (Mugabe’s chief opponent) & Dr. Sima Simar, an Afghan rights activist.”

And, out of all those candidates, Barack H. Obama WAS THE WINNER… no stacking the deck, there, right?
