Obama-Joker Poster Still Causing Controversy… Now Hanging As Political Statement Outside Virginia Strip Club

Back in early August, Obama as Joker posters, with “socialism” written beneath, popped up all over Los Angeles and later, in Georgia and other states, caused a huge outcry from Obama supporters.
It hasn’t gone away. In late August, a parent attempting to attend a health care town hall meeting at a school in Virginia was denied entrance because of his Obama as Joker protest poster.
Now, again in Virginia, the poster, a really BIG one, is hanging outside a Richmond strip club.
My curiosity here is that the outrage of the NAACP (complete with the protesters carrying Astro-turfing little blue Obama flags) is directed at the freedom of speech expression of the strip club owner hanging the huge Obama-Joker poster outside his establishment.
NAACP calls it racist, which it isn’t. It’s a fundamental right of Americans to disagree and protest against our government. We all remember that George W. Bush was depicted as the Joker or Hitler or Dracula through out much of his presidency by left-wingers. The Joker depiction isn’t new, no matter how zealously Obama supporters want us to think it is.
Political dissent is racist and evil, according to many liberals, if you’re in disagreement with this current administration (all previous dissent is OK, if they were directed at Republicans) and its socialist agenda. Protest and dissent are un-American, according to Democrat Nancy “Liar of the House” Pelosi.
Interestingly enough, not one person interviewed in the news video below commented about this political statement being presented against the backdrop of a stripper nightclub. No mention of stripping or the denigration of women… it’s a brave new world, baby.

NAACP Plays Race Card over Virginia Obama-Joker Poster | September 2009

Virginia NAACP protests Obama ‘Joker’ poster outside Richmond strip club
September 29, 2009The Virginia NAACP called it an abomination and a sign of disrespect. The owner of a downtown Richmond strip club called it exercising his right to free speech.
About three dozen people attended a lunchtime protest yesterday outside Velvet, where a new banner on one of the exterior walls depicts President Barack Obama as the Joker of “Batman” movie fame.
The banner was unfurled over the weekend by club owner Samuel J.T. Moore III and overlooks a busy intersection outside his business at 15th and East Main streets.
“It is apparent that he and others are comfortable disrespecting the president,“ King Salim Khalfani, executive director of the Virginia NAACP, told the crowd. “Why? The answer is simple: because the president has African blood.“
Obama has played down talk of being a target of racial prejudice, but Khalfani said he was not speaking for the president.
“He’s under much constraint,“ Khalfani said. “But we can tell the truth and tell it like it is.“
Khalfani said “Obama black lash” was evident in the poster, which is about 8 feet wide by 10 feet tall and shows Obama’s face superimposed over that of Heath Ledger, who won an Academy Award posthumously for his portrayal of the Joker in the Batman sequel “The Dark Knight.“
Obama’s face on the poster has the same blackened eyes and smeared red lipstick that Ledger made famous in the movie. Below Obama’s face is the word “socialism” in large, black letters.
Moore declined to be interviewed but released a statement saying he put up the poster to show his displeasure with the direction of Obama’s eight-month-old administration, particularly on financial issues.

The more I read it, the more it impresses me. I don’t know how I ever worked without hilarious and funny things in our life, Life would be so much easier especially when there’s a jokes here and there.
