Woo Hoo, More Fun-Poking at Obama… Conan O’Brien and ‘Sesame Street’ Muppets Satire (video)

This Sesame Street spoof is from a couple of weeks ago, but it seems even more relevant now than it did then.
Conan… you’re working your way up the “Obama Enemies List” with this hilarious Sesame Street spoofing of Michelle and Barack Obama. Watch out or CNN will be fact-checking your opening monologue soon. Despite the laughter in the Tonight Show audience, I’m confident that a number of liberals were totally stunned by Big Bird’s socialist and birth certificate questions.

A few weeks ago, a funny thing happened — call it a late night political paradigm shift. Conan O’Brien put some extra bite to his bark by featuring a tape of Sesame Street characters who earlier in the day had visited with the First Lady to talk about healthy eating. Conan overdubbed the clip and, suddenly, instead of talking about food, the muppets questioned Obama’s ‘United States birth certificate’ and his ’socialist health care agenda.’ In the past, satire like this might have been automatically assumed to be an attack on the right, but the skit ended up taking some Obama fans aback. Perhaps it struck a nerve.

And now, some commentary on the Larry King Show about the SNL spoof of Pres. Obama that aired a few weeks ago. Libertarian illusionist Penn Jillette and liberal talk show host Stephanie Miller give their opinions about the comedy skit and the Obama administration… Stephanie’s “erection pills” comment was a bit bizarre.
