Trust is fragile. Once lost, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to regain.

The reckless agenda and antics of the Team Obama administration are killing voters’ trust of the Democrat Party faster than that of any other new administration in the past 50 or more years. Faster than even GW Bush.

Blame it on bad calls. LOTS of bad calls.

In just nine months, the party that had held a huge lead in public opinion following the presidential election — a lead based pretty much on the vague, lacking-in-details “hope and change” rhetoric of Obama — has repeatedly ignored the nation’s majority of voters and made a series of serious miscalculations and stupid blunders.

Congressional Democrats have maligned and mocked thousands of taxpayers who have attended tea party protests and townhall meetings. BAD CALL. Many folks attending these aren’t just Republicans, but Independents and Democrats. Nothing like alienating a huge cross-section of patriotic Americans from coast to coast, especially those who’ve never protested anything in their lives. Average Americans don’t like being called Nazis or racists or brownshirts for simply exercising their constitutional rights to freedom of speech and the right to protest, you arrogant political clowns.

The thin-skinned, vindictive White House, in efforts to silence all dissension of its controversial agenda, launched a vicious attack against FOX News that has stunned even liberal journalists who are now criticizing the “Nixonian” mandates of the president. BAD CALL. We all know what happened to former Pres. Nixon, and I’m sure that his Enemies List and attacks on those who didn’t agree with him played a big hand in his undoing with the uncovering of Watergate. Despite what that moronic CNN hack Rick Sanchez tried to do yesterday to stupidly rewrite history and pretty up what the president has been doing to manipulate and/or punish the press, Obama is NOT Lincoln or Roosevelt. But Obama and Nixon are fast becoming political clones. That’s no compliment.

Team Obama attacked Humana and the US Chamber of Commerce, staged phony assemblies to ramrod the expensive socialized health care program, has dithered and procrastinated like a nervous prom queen on taking real action in Afghanistan, is reneging on letting the public see bills online as promised, has insulted international allies while embracing dictators, and is in the early steps of taking over radio and the Internet. All BAD CALLS. This is America, not the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, or any other third-world dictatorship. Big government with punch-drunk power is the enemy of the people… unless you think Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and James Madison were silly chumps compared to Team Obama.

Democrats love to call the GOP “The Party of No,” as though that’s a bad thing. Well, good grief, someone’s GOT to tell these childish spendthrifts “no.” They’re spoiled, entitled brats going on a reckless, never-ending spending spree with Daddy’s credit cards (our soon-to-increase taxes and billions more borrowed from China).

Don’t you dare say “no” to them, because they’re on a mission to provide unsustainable second- or third-rate health care insurance to EVERYONE (except, uh, for those millions of people who won’t be covered, like the elderly and those with incurable diseases). Obama believes they can and SHOULD spend as much as they want on what they want, even if we don’t have the money. And they’ve pretty much ignored the rising unemployment numbers (now double digits) and failing businesses across the nation as the spending Obama train goes at break-neck speed to ruin us financially. While whining about FOX News…

Well, American voters have firmly said “no” with these horrible poll results for the Dems.

So it’s now come to this. Who’s surprised here by the exploding distrust of the spendaholic Democrats?

Per a Rasmussen poll released yesterday, more American voters trust Republicans now than they have in YEARS. And on the 10 key issues, Democrats lose on all. On every single one.

Single-handedly, Barack Obama and his minions have destroyed the trust of voters and have turned millions away from the “tax and overspend” party. Obama is killing the Democrat party. Good goin’, buckeroo… yeeeeeiiiii haaaa!

Trust on Issues: Voters Trust Republicans More On 10 Top Issues

For the first time in recent years, voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 key electoral issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports. The GOP holds double-digit advantages on five of them.

Republicans have nearly doubled their lead over Democrats on economic issues to 49% to 35%, after leading by eight points in September.

The GOP also holds a 54% to 31% advantage on national security issues and a 50% to 31% lead on the handling of the war in Iraq.

On taxes, Republicans are now ahead of Democrats 50% to 35%, nearly doubling their September lead on the issue. Prior to July, the percentage of voters who trusted the GOP more on taxes never reached 50%. It has done so three times since then.

Voters trust Republicans more on Social Security by a 45% to 37% margin, after the GOP trailed Democrats by two points on the issue in the last survey.

The president is proposing a one-time $250 payment to seniors who for the first time in years won’t be getting a cost of living increase in their Social Security checks because inflation’s down. While half of voters support this idea, they are more skeptical when told how much it will cost.

Republicans lead on the issue of education 43% to 38%. Last month Democrats had a five-point lead.

Voters also trust Republicans more on the handling of abortion 47% to 35%.

The crazed, runaway Obama train NEVER STOPS. It is chugging furiously, funding hundreds of non-stimulus, self-interest pork barrel projects; conducting secretive, closed-door meetings on ObamaCare (despite many promises by the president that the discussions would be open for the first time to the American public on C-SPAN); appointing record number of non-vetted, radical czars in the White House; seizing American industries like WWII Germany did.

America is getting mighty sick and tired of seeing Obama on TV 24/7. Tired of this power-grabbing administration treating grown American adults like children. Tired of finding out from FOX News and conservative radio hosts (never the fringe media) that massive hidden taxation, penalties, and fines ($1,000 fine and possible jail time if you don’t have health care insurance) are being sneaked into the global warming and health care bills, that illegal aliens WILL be covered. Tired of being lied to.

Most economists, political pundits, and conservative bloggers saw and warned about the problems with Obama’s unsustainable socialist agenda early on, even if many Americans didn’t accept or realize it until recently.

If you’re shunned in liberal Massachusetts, whoa, boy… time to send in the dancing bears…

Boston Herald: Bay State liberals shun Barack Obama’s visit:

President Obama blows into the bluest state today facing a cold shoulder from once true-blue admirers, as gay rights activists, anti-war protesters and vexed environmentalists vow to picket a fund-raiser he’s headlining for Gov. Deval Patrick – a marquee event that hasn’t even sold out.

As of last night, liberals who once braved frigid temperatures to behold Obama were shunning tickets to the fund-raiser at the posh Westin Copley Place featuring the president, sources told the Herald.

Add it all up, and liberal ire with Obama is close to the boiling point, said Princeton University political scientist Julian Zelizer.

“Clearly they’re in his corner, but they’re not as happy as they once were,” Zelizer said. “Frustration could accelerate and descend into something worse.”

And I’m sure this isn’t going to boost Dear Leader’s disapproval ratings with liberals:

Even Barack Obama thinks that global warming is a farce. If “The One” really believed that we were headed for a climate catastrophe, he would have made sure to attend the climate summit in Copenhagen. Wouldn’t his leadership at the conference be considered important? Instead, he is off to Oslo, Norway to get his undeserved Nobel Peace Prize.

The 2010 elections don’t look promising for Democrats coming up for reelection. Trust is lost, and once lost, is difficult to regain. No hopenchange here…

As I say often, it ain’t over ’til it’s over. If Obama can do this much damage in just nine months, imagine the damage he and his cronies can accomplish by the end of this year. Or even this next week.
