With all due respect, you seem to think homeschooled students live in a closet, basement, or in Amish country. Many are affiliated with churches, many are affiliated with charter schools. All the families I know who homeschool (and I use to be an English teacher for an online Christian academy for homeschoolers) have access to a wealth of outside play experiences and groups, such as Boys and Girls Club, Little League, homeschool play and sports groups, art classes, community theater, and many others. They are involved in many community youth activities and participate in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and more. In fact, I’d wager they are involved with their community as much, if not more, than the average public school student is (if you take all public school students, from Detroit to Boise to NYC to Watts to TX to Hawaii) and averaged it out.

Homeschooling parents are able to filter out the “bad influences” that public schools can’t/won’t do. Homeschooled children can progress at their own rate and get one-on-one attention, unlike public school students. If I didn’t have to work full-time when my kids were young, I would have definitely homeschooled them. And I would have chosen for them to read classic literature rather than the crapolla of leftist radical Saul Alinsky.

Liberals seem to think only public school teachers can teach children… HA! How do they explain the children who fail? Often, by blaming the parents. So, if a child learns, it’s to the teacher’s credit, but all failure falls on the parents? I believe it is more a mix, and because of the changes liberals have implemented in schools over the past 40-plus years, our students in the public forum are scoring more poorly in many cities than they did four decades ago.

You’re of a mind that homeschoolers are at some kind of disadvantage, but truth is, they score consistently higher on college entrance exams and have been at the top of the heap for national spelling bees and other academic competitions. Public schools have a poor failure rate with students, particularly those in urban areas. I don’t know what’s the magic answer to solve the problems of public schools, but slamming home schools is, frankly, ignorant.

Schooling is an extremely important portion of just about every child’s life, nevertheless I actually do believe that public school offers boys and girls expertise in addition to life training that a private or homeschooling simply cannot guide them. Playing with other people their own age group along with stuff such as that is very important to each young kid.

We are sick of Obama’s face everywhere we look, but you have to gut it up and listen to what he is telling us, no matter how insidious it is.

The parents should either home school or get in the the face of the school systems that they are paying for and demand to see the curriculum (including film, and audio media) that these kids are being exposed to.
This is the grass roots effort we need to stop this nonsense.

This White House’s policies are destroying the country we grew up in, systematically, and on purpose. Any teacher that exposes this type of radical liberal garbage to the young pliable minds, that are the future of this country, should be fired, along with the administration that allowed them, or persuaded them, to do it.

This effort to destroy the fabric of the Greatest Country the world has ever produced,
and the Greatest Free Society the world has ever seen is detestable.

There time is limited, Americans are awake and watching, and they know it.

Every conservative should read the book in order to understand what the Left is doing and how they are doing it. Once it’s read, so many things they are doing and saying become crystal clear.
But teachers for classrooms? This is unbelievable. Oh… I should know better to think any thing he does is unbelievable. The guy is despicable. And disingenuous.
