More Gotcha! Obama Accidentally Applauds Bill Owens’ Lies to NY Voters about Voting on PelosiCare, Pulled “Fast One” on NY-23 — UPDATE: Bush Visits Ft. Hood, Obama Takes R&R at Camp David

From the start of his campaign on August 10 until an election eve debate on October 30, Owens adamantly opposed the type of public option that is contained in HR 3962, the Pelosi bill the House is voting on later today.
Owens announced qualified support for the “current bill” in an October 30 debate less than 84 hours before the polls opened. His statement of support was lost in the ensuing melodrama when Republican Dede Scozzafava withdrew from the race the next day, and then switched allegiances and endorsed him rather than the Conservative Doug Hoffman.
In his statement today lauding Owens, President Obama unwittingly confirmed what had been reported here earlier today–that the voters of the 23rd Congressional District had been misled throughout the campaign by Bill Owens that he opposed the Pelosi public option Health Care bill, and that, had Mr. Owens’ been honest with the voters throughout the entire campaign he would not have won the special election.
MORE GOTCHA, suckers!
This is beyond nauseating. New Yorkers, this should be unacceptable to you… it is unacceptable to any person who bases his or her vote on truth, on a candidate’s word. Owens’ played you all, saying whatever he needed to say to be elected.
If you don’t respond NOW, protest NOW, decry this miscarriage of political integrity NOW, you never will. Too much is at stake.
Bill Owens and the Pelosi/Obama band of lying scoundrels have pulled the wool over your eyes to pass PelosiCare/ObamaCare. And they’re rather pleased with themselves about it.
And why in heaven’s name is Barack Obama flitting around the Capitol? Former President George W. Bush and Laura have been quietly visiting the soldiers at Fort Hood to offer support and lend sympathetic shoulders to our enlisted men and women’s shock and anger over the Muslim shooting rampage? When will POTUS stop campaigning and act like our nation’s Commander In Chief? If there was a TV opportunity, a chance for Letterman or Matthews to chat him up on his personal socialism agenda, he would have hopped on Air Force One Thursday afternoon to fly to Texas. He’s flown farther for much less. (Off topic, I know, but I’m extremely angry and frustrated about Obama’s lack of involvement in the shocking Fort Hood massacre by the Muslim major).
UPDATE: More frustration… where is Obama, I’ve asked? Taking the weekend off for some personal time at Camp David. Yup, you heard right. We all knew he’d be on Air Force One at some point this weekend, we just didn’t expect it to be for some wimpy R&R. Campaigning for socialized health care is HARD… Maybe NEXT week he’ll visit Fort Hood? After some golf?
