Black Friday Sounds “Racist,” Per Idiot Loudmouth Leftist Joy Behar

Leftwing, loudmouth race baiter Joy Behar

Another you gotta be kidding moment… ABC’s The View’s leftist-wacko Joy Behar has now tried to wave the racist flag during the holidays. Whoopi Goldberg’s split-second look when Joy opened her mouth and shoved in her foot, claiming that Black Friday and other terms that include the word “black” are “bad”, was withering.

Some people actually find loudmouth Behar funny, I’m told. Although, I don’t know any of them. Whatever Behar’s getting paid, it’s too much.

Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a conservative women’s talk show in the mornings? Wait… most conservatives WORK for a living and usually aren’t sitting around on the couch in their jammies watching liberal millionaires hypocritically talk about how terrible George W. Bush’s economic policies were when they became millionaires.

The View: “Black Friday” Sounds Racist

From Jeff Poor at NewsBusters: Joy Behar’s Moral Quandary: ‘Isn’t it a Little Racist to Call it Black Friday?’:

There’s nothing like tuning into an episode of “The View” for a little exploration of social sensitivities in the modern American culture.

In keeping with that tradition, on Black Friday, a term used to describe the Friday following Thanksgiving, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season, the use of the word “black” to mark this occasion was a topic of discussion on “The View” for its potential “racist” implications.

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, who has her own primetime HLN cable show, debated the use of “black” on the Nov. 27 pre-recorded broadcast. Goldberg, a black woman, took the meaning to be a positive and that there was nothing wrong with it used that way. Behar, however, was trouble with the word “black” used in conjunction with Friday, taking the meaning as a negative.

[...]

It’s somewhat ironic Behar would be concerned about offending sensibilities in this harmless use of the word black to describe the day of an event when she herself has had little regard for the sensitivities of personalities that tend to fall right of center on the ideological spectrum. Behar recently noted the past addictions of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and George W. Bush as marks of conservatism and has repeatedly taken shots at the intellect of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Doug Powers at The Powers That Be always cracks me up…

From The Powers That Be: Other Things Joy Behar Can Use to Pander to Ethnic Groups & Minorities:

If you’re into the hobby of idiot-spotting, there’s no better place to pretend you’re an ornithologist studying the migratory pattern of the Doofus Finch than by watching The View.

[...]

Here are some other words, phrases and businesses that might come up in the future that Behar can try to foment unnecessary racial strife with, and as long as there’s somebody as stupid as she is watching (which is unlikely), it might work:

–White Christmas
–Black-out
–Brown-out
–Enigma
–Spic-n-Span
–Spook Houses (a great race-baiter for Halloween, Joy)
–Chink in the armor
–Doo-Wop (if Behar spins this the right way, she might be able to stir up some Italians — iTunes fell for it, so why shouldn’t others?)
–Yellow Fever
–Niggardly (somebody has already been fired for using this word, so there would be precedent for Behar to try to foment racial strife with this)

And don’t forget some potential advertisers on The View that Behar might try to convince people are offensive in nature:

–White Castle (no explanation needed)
–Church’s Chicken (insensitive and unwelcoming to Atheists)
–Microsoft (mocks those with erectile dysfunction)
–IHOP (mocks people with an injured leg)
–Little Caesars (slur toward those of diminutive stature)
–Jersey Giants (offensive to those with pituitary disorders residing in the Garden State)
–Home Depot (pokes fun at the homeless, not to mention the depot-less)
–Cracker Barrel (code name for a meeting place for Tea Partiers)
–Hooters (sexism and owlism run amok)

I hope this helps, Ms. Behar. Good luck whipping up a false frenzy.

I’ve got a few of my own to add to Doug’s list for Behar… “white” isn’t all good, Joy, nor are “black” or any other “colors” bad. Many terms that assign colors were concocted centuries ago, and most have no racial overtones (except, of course, to Joy and her idiotic ilk). Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Liberals not only play the racist card the most often, but usually accidentally reveal their own secretive racism in so doing:

-White lie
-White trash
-White elephant
-White bread (term meaning “boring”)
-Whitewash
-Whitey-tightey
-Red-letter Day
-Red herring
-Red flag
-Red-hot
-Red eye
-Red-headed stepchild
-Black hole
-Blackjack
-Black gold
-Black Angus Steakhouse
-Brownie points
-Browned off
-Yellow Pages
-Yellow Cab
-Yellow ribbon

For those who are still confused about the origin of the term “Black Friday” meaning the first Christmas shopping day after Thanksgiving, here’s a lengthier explanation:

From American Daughter: Clueless Joy Behar:

Originally, savvy Americans understood that “black Friday” referred to the stock market crash of 1929. (In the United States, the sell-off escalated on Thursday, October 24, but due to the time difference, it was called “black Friday” in Europe.) In this context, black refers to emotional despair.

And since America’s small business entrepreneurs began keeping account books, from the early days in hand-written ledgers, they have used black ink to record receipts and red ink to write down their expenses. At the bottom of the page, after everything was summed up, the final result was black if the business made a profit, and red if there was an overall loss. Here black refers to financial solvency. This usage is so much a part of our culture that computerized spreadsheets offer red print as an option for recording negative numbers.

For many businesses, the high-volume sales generated by Christmas shopping on the day after Thanksgiving mark the transition from net loss to net profit in the accounting for the year as a whole. The commitments to lease retail space for a year, to pay for the utilities, and to hire personnel go on the books early in the year in “red ink.” Receipts from items sold during the year gradually chip away at the deficit, and with luck, holiday sales make the business profitable.

I think idiotic commentary and political party affiliation are two separate, unrelated ideas. I am sure there are just as many moronic conservatives as their are liberals. It’s quite pathetic of you to attack an entire group of people with sweeping generalizations resting on the shoulders of one socially retarded public speaker. Finally, you speak a bit about rich liberals… Did you know that there is a pretty equal number of rich Democrats and Republicans? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1952253/posts

I don’t doubt that there are many well-off Republicans in America, but this post was addressing the women on “The View.” All of whom are paid very well, and only one of the group is conservative/Republican. The other four, I believe, are liberal Democrats. In the real world outside theirs and others in entertainment, there are many unemployed liberal Americans, many of whom are on welfare, many who continue to vote for Democrats. I’m not sure what your point is. I never wrote that all liberals are well off or are loud mouths, quite the contrary.

Bashing Bush (after he’s been out of office for nearly a year) because of taxes they must pay and the financial “hardships” they must bear, not mentioning Obama’s grotesque overspending and his pending huge increase in taxes… and all the while these liberal personalities on “The View” are far better off than most, and likely you as well, is one of the many hypocrisies on this show. They usually lament about how hard the economy is and try to be “like the average American” in income (i.e., their viewing audience), but aren’t. None of them are on food stamps, guaranteed, or use coupons or feed a family on a limited budget. Separating Behar’s idiotic commentary and political party affiliation? When the idiocy flowing out of her mouth is often about her political party affiliation? Nope, don’t agree with you. Joy Behar is always bashing or dissing conservatives and/or Republicans on the show (still oddly bashes Bush, but ignores the errors and power-grabbing of Obama) with little to no facts or logic, loudly and snidely. So, separating her ideology and her commentary on the show is utterly impossible.

I write about conservatives’ flaws and hypocrisy as well, moderate. Behar is one of the top pinheads of the entertainment establishment, IMO. She’s loud, she’s a leftist, and she’s a bubble-brain motor mouth. I’m sure many other people are like that who are right-wingers, but this post was addressing Behar’s stupid “is Black Friday racist” attempt to rock the “racism waters” this week.
