I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

George W. Bush kept us safe after 9/11.

Dick Cheney is no fool and no coward.

If my family’s life were on the line and I had only two men from which to choose, former VP Dick Cheney or Pres. Barack Obama, who would be assigned to protect my kids from bloodlusting Muslim terrorists, I’d pick Dick Cheney in a heartbeat to protect my precious babies. Because Cheney would protect them. Period.

Cheney had an unfortunate hunting accident back in 2006, where he accidentally shot a friend with bird shot while they were hunting quail in Texas. Leftists have gone insanely bonkers over this for years, making Cheney the butt of many hunting jokes, equating this accident with all sorts of nonsense, because they wait to pounce on anything that measures less than perfection from a Republican. Truth is, though, these accidents happen even to seasoned hunters and Cheney, who has hunted for years, had not had such an accident before. The friend fully recovered, thankfully, but now, three years later, liberals are still guffawing over it. Leave it to one-note leftwingers to ignore the legacy and true accomplishments of a man to fixate on one error. UNLESS he’s a liberal or a socialist or a fascist or a third-world-country dictator or a Hollywood director-child-rapist or a now-deceased Democrat senator from Massachusetts… then, the opposite is what liberals do: fixate on the smallest one good thing they can find and childishly ignore the thousand other errors, atrocities, lies, hypocrisies, betrayals, and tyrannies. Like what the fringe media has been doing with The Chosen One for several years now.

Even after the hunting accident, I’d still trust Cheney’s character, intentions, experience, and skills to protect my children from harm over those of Obama’s without batting an eye. And you should, too.

Obama is all new-agey talk with no substance, no sense of urgency… unless it’s to attack FOX News for criticizing him or to jump into high gear about White House party crashers. There is no leadership, too much thin-skinned egotistical “me-me-me” talk, nothing there to trust when facing an emergency requiring split-second decision-making to do “the right thing”. No strength. No genuine “heart of a lion” or empathy, unless it fulfills his political agenda. He’s pleasant and nice, everyone says so… but he’s also incredibly weak when standing up to America’s enemies.

A cornfield scarecrow. He’d dither us to death.

I’d trust Dick Cheney with my life and the lives of my children without hesitation. I would not trust Obama to plant okra at the correct time of year in the White House garden.

On the eve of the unveiling of the nation’s new Afghanistan policy, former Vice President Dick Cheney slammed President Barack Obama for projecting “weakness” to adversaries and warned that more workaday Afghans will side with the Taliban if they think the United States is heading for the exits.

In a 90-minute interview at his suburban Washington house, Cheney said the president’s “agonizing” about Afghanistan strategy “has consequences for your forces in the field.”

“I begin to get nervous when I see the commander in chief making decisions apparently for what I would describe as small ‘p’ political reasons, where he’s trying to balance off different competing groups in society,” Cheney said.

“Every time he delays, defers, debates, changes his position, it begins to raise questions: Is the commander in chief really behind what they’ve been asked to do?”

Here are a couple interviews from a few months ago with Liz Cheney, Dick’s daughter, that are insightful about her take on national security, George W. Bush, her father, and Barack Obama. In the first one, Liz makes mincemeat out of leftist reporter Norah O’Donnell. I’ve gained new respect for Liz as a result… anyone who can calmly, intelligently let O’Donnell know that she’s a horse’s ass is A-OK in my book.
