Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano dies after plastic surgery

Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano dies after plastic surgery

This is sad and senseless. Society worldwide reveres and worships beauty and youth to the point of mindless obsession. And unexpected danger. A lovely woman, caught up in the shallow hype to “stay forever young” has paid the ultimate price. Solange Magnano, the 1994 Miss Argentina beauty pageant winner and the mother of 8-year-old twins, died after she was reportedly undergoing a simple plastic surgery procedure at a clinic in Buenos Aires.

A tragic waste… all in the maddening pursuit of physical perfection.

From UK Today News: Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano dies after plastic surgery:

Solange Magnano, the 1994 Miss Argentina, passed away after she was reportedly undergoing a simple plastic surgery at a clinic in Buenos Aires. The plastic surgery was for firming up her almost perfect derriere.

The former 38 year old model was a mother of 8 year old twins.

According to reports, the plastic surgery procedure involved her being injected before the surgery day. Unfortunately, she suffered from pulmonary embolism and became critical for three days. She finally died on Sunday as a result of serious complications in her lungs and brain.

She was indeed a stunning beauty and her death raises questions of the fatal fascination with plastic surgery and why women go in for it even after having such perfect bodies.

From FilmyFair: Solange Magnano Pictures – Former Miss Argentina dies at 38:

Solange Magnano, a former Miss Argentina died after she was undergoing plastic surgery to tone up her buttocks at a clinic in Buenos Aires.

Sources say that Solange was a well-known model in her hometown and her sudden death is shocking – more so because the cause of her death is very different.

The 38 year old model had 8 year old twins and her death has questioned the way in which plastic surgery is administered.

She died after severe complications to the lungs following 3 consecutive days of being in a critical condition.

From Telegraph UK obituary:

Former Miss Argentina who died of a pulmonary embolism after undergoing a gluteoplasty – an operation to deliver firmer buttocks that is sometimes known as a “Brazilian Butt Lift”. The procedure, normally routine, has recently increased in popularity as women seek to replicate the curvaceousness of actresses such as Jennifer Lopez. Won the Miss Argentina title in 1994, and was married with twin sons. Often modelled for the fashion designer Roberto Piazza, and for the past two years had been running a modelling school. Her burial on Monday was shown on Argentine television.

These girls weren’t raised with that philosophy, rather ‘your pretty, go make some money’.

    It’s a damn shame.

Narcissism is a disease, and could be eradicated by an education.

There’s nothing like knowledge to dispel the idea that ‘you can look like that forever’.
The fact that people try to maintain their looks into their 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, and display their efforts to do so is disheartening, and at times, disgusting.

Radical medical procedures are not the answer.
