ClimateGate is simply begging for comedians to go for the not-so-hidden treasure. But are they? Are there any comedians who would actually jump into the murky depths of the ClimateGate swill and fish out all the glorious, delectable humor awaiting them?

David Letterman would never do it… he’s too much in the tank with Obama (and trying to patch things up with his new wife, who threw his sorry butt out for all his sexual dalliances with other women on his staff). Joy Behar would never do it… she thinks Black Friday is racist and keeps forgetting that Bush isn’t in office anymore. Janeane Garofalo would never do it… first off, she’s not funny, and secondly, she’s fixated on her hare-brained, statist conclusion that all conservative blacks are racists. I believe Jay Leno WOULD do it… but didn’t. Maybe tomorrow, Jay?

Gotta give props to The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart for taking the CO2 bull by the horns to hilariously mock the obviously mockable: climate-change millionaire hoaxer Al Gore and the science frauds of global warming. ClimateGate is finally acknowledged on the liberal comedy scene… the proverbial poopy stuff is just now hitting the big-time fan at Comedy Central. When Stewart brings the scandal front and center, young liberals actually wake up a bit. And mock back. Not looking good for POTUS.

MSNBC, maybe NOW you could squeeze in a sentence or two about ClimateGate’s destruction of raw data and “hockey stick graph” data manipulation to hide the worldwide temperature decline. Just prune a few minutes from your obsessive Sarah Palin bashing or calling West Point “the enemy camp,” and you’d have time.

UPDATE, January 12, 2010: YouTube has removed this video (as they’ve been doing with alarming frequency, claiming copyright issues, on many TV broadcasts that are unflattering to the Obama administration or Democrats. Unflattering accounts of conservatives, the GOP, GW Bush, Sarah Palin, etc., don’t have this problem of being yanked. I will attempt to locate another copy to replace this one. It’s going to be harder to keep the youth demographic supporting the global warming fraud. All that environmental propaganda force-fed to kids in schools and college goes for naught once it becomes cool to mock the fraudsters. And where do young voters learn what to mock politically? On Jon Stewart’s Daily Show on Comedy Central.

Hence the importance of this monologue last night.

The hormonal changes that overtake us all at puberty tend to induce a fair amount of skepticism of the elders and those in positions of authority, especially in contemporary American culture. Stewart does not even mention the future impoverishment that would be brought about by Cap and Trade. He doesn’t need to. His audience does not like phonies. And AGW theory is just that. No matter how many time Robert Gibbs, Nancy Pelosi, or President Obama insist the science is settles. They just make themselves look worse.
