Privacy invasion: Say 'hello' to full-body scans at airports... this is a female body scan

Color me nakedly skeptical…

Team Obama, TSA, and Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security royally dropped the ball in preventing Islamic extremist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from getting on that NWA flight to Detroit. They didn’t put him on a “no-fly” list, even with two years of information about his radical ties and his own father’s report to the Nigerian UN that his son was a danger and a radical. He had trained with other suicidal Islamic maniacs in Yemen with the sole express purpose to destroy an airplane over US soil, taking hundreds of infidel lives with him. Word is this lunatic was able to board the plane without a passport.

So many balls dropped here, it defies logic and responsibility. Pres. Obama’s lack of response for THREE DAYS (followed by yet another round of his beloved golf, plus some snorkeling, in Hawaii) also is irresponsible and childish.

But the ball-dropping doesn’t end with the terrorist’s capture.

Abdulmutallab has been arrested and put into custody like a regular, attempted-murder suspect (which he isn’t) and has lawyered up, rather than be treated like an enemy of the United States and a proven terrorist (which he is) and be interrogated by intelligence agencies about other details of his jihadi attack, like who else planned the NWA bombing. It is now appearing that Muslim terrorists who were “Club Gitmo graduates” assisted him. “Graduates” who were released from Guantánamo Bay detention center, supposedly “rehabilitated” through art lessons or some other crap-filled liberal nonsense.

But DHS likely won’t get much information from rich-kid Abdulmutallab. He was read his Miranda rights, even though he isn’t a US citizen and was witnessed trying to murder hundreds of people, so nuts to you.

So, naturally, rather than take decisive steps to stop these newly trained, bloodlusting terrorists from Yemen from entering the US, stopping the release of Gitmo terrorists until further notice, Team Obama will be conducting full-body scans of airplane passengers. Including old Grandma Daisy, who also now can’t get up to hobble down the aisle to go to the bathroom during the last hour of a flight nor have anything in her lap during the flight. Senior citizens, not terrorists, will suffer the most from all this, and there is no reason to believe that these measures will deter or help capture jihadists.

So, say cheese, America… Team Obama is again not addressing radical terrorism as radical terrorism, but is bending over backwards to not insult jihadists, not single out radical Muslims, not killing the cancer at its source. Pres. Obama’s answer to fixing a leaking boat would be to buy a bigger, better water scooper and angrily chastise those in the boat for not bailing faster, than to locate and plug up the boat’s holes.

Our government/TSA intend to invade all law-abiding, non-jihadist Americans’ privacy and create a whole new level of inconvenience… rather than take any real action against terrorists who want all Americans dead.

Yemeni terrorists (there are a reported 300 new terrorists ready to be released into America) will likely abandon (for now) airplanes and start crossing into the United States via our woefully inadequate borders, as hundreds of illegal aliens do each and every day. They’ll adapt to a new jihadi modus operandi, while inept Team Obama chases its own tail on securing America and spends billions of dollars to scan your grandma’s body.

They are missing the big picture, once again putting American lives in grave danger.

And our president, after two belated, hollow-sounding press conferences, is still enjoying his Hawaiian vacation, as pointed out by conservative journalist Michelle Malkin: Why is Obama still in Hawaii?

From Chicago’s Daily Herald: Full-body scanners coming to O’Hare airport:

Full-body scanners will come to O’Hare International Airport in 2010, though aviation officials could not say exactly when.

Rosemarie S. Andolino, commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation, was asked about the scanners Tuesday during a briefing with reporters on security measures at O’Hare and Midway airports.

She said the department is working with the federal Transportation Security Administration on the scanners, saying they could be installed at O’Hare during the first half of next year. She didn’t know how many machines would be installed. Right now, neither airport uses them.

Debate about the scanners, which are now in use in at least 19 U.S. airports, has heated up since the Christmas Day attempt to blow up a jetliner in Detroit. Advocates say the scanners, which reveal the contours of a person’s body with embarrassing clarity, would help prevent such attempts in the future. Critics object to the technology on grounds of personal privacy.

The Transportation Security Administration is looking to increase the number of full-body scanners at U.S. airports over the next few years as it reviews security procedures in the wake of the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight last week.

Experts say a full-body scanner likely would have detected the powdered explosive that terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab allegedly stuffed in his underwear and ignited aboard a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas.

Though nothing is foolproof, and concerns remain that intelligence agencies compound security gaps by not properly sharing information about terror suspects, the TSA’s goal is to have multiple layers of advanced technology to ensure nothing dangerous gets aboard a plane.

The full-body scanners are one of several new technologies that have been introduced in recent years; and what’s available is just the beginning.

“We are continually evolving and testing and deploying new technology as they become available to us,” TSA spokeswoman Lauren Gaches said.

He lived a “gilded life,” as the Independent of London described it, studying engineering at one of Britain’s most prestigious universities before training for terror in Yemen.

Media sympathizers have spotlighted Abdulmutallab’s web postings bemoaning his “loneliness.” But more compassion and empathy – the remedy Barack Obama prescribed in an infamously clueless Chicago community newspaper op-ed after the 9/11 attacks – are useless salves to the terrorist’s damned soul. Like so many of his wealthy, educated jihad brothers and sisters before him from Osama bin Laden to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to Fort Hood mass killer Nidal Hasan, M.D., Abdulmutallab targeted us for who we are – dirty, unbelieving infidels – not anything we’ve denied him.
