As I’ve written before, Senate-wannabe, Democrat liberal-progressive Martha Coakley has a naive, uninformed, and dangerous perception about Islamic terrorism and the Taliban.
During the Massachusetts Senate debate on Monday night in which she, Scott Brown, and Joe Kennedy had a final opportunity to address issues before the January 19 special election, Coakley asserted that the Taliban is gone from Afghanistan.
Wrong, Martha, you’re dead wrong. And with that kind of foolish, warped, terrorist-denial thinking, a whole lot of innocent Americans could find themselves dead.
This isn’t a friggin’ political game. This is about REAL American security issues, REAL Islamic jihadists who want every single one of us (we who are infidels, anyway) in America DEAD.
Do you understand that, Martha? DEAD.
The majority of Americans want us to WIN the War on Terror, do whatever it takes to keep our country safe from al Qaeda, Taliban, and any other zealous nutjob terrorists. Democrat ideologues like Coakley… er, not so much.
The Taliban is “gone” from Afghanistan? Dream on, Mrs. Coakley.

How is it possible that Martha can say something like this? I thought it was a very bad choice to break for the holidays, but she must feel that she is entitled to that seat.
You may be right… Democrats keep calling it “Ted Kennedy’s seat” as though it belongs to them, and to them alone. Brown was correct when he called it “the people’s seat.” Coakley’s going to be the source of her own demise, if this keeps up.

So it is all right for the right to claim that Haitians made a deal with the devil and deserve the earthquakes and their horrible aftermath, and it is OK for SP to hold a “Choices” Day in AK to discuss end of life issues six months before she declares the same thing a death panel, but it is somehow evil for Coakley to make an error. If we hadn’t heard so many lies from the right in the past 15 months, I might agree with you, but Coakley made a mistake. Unlike some lies on the right, this one is not costing anybody their chance at healthcare, nor their lives.
Susan, I don’t recall “the right” or my blog ever making those claims about Haitians. One old man did, and they were unfortunate, stupid comments, but they are his opinion. He does not represent ME and what I believe, nor what the vast majority of those who are conservatives believe. Nor is he running for public office. He is in no position of power over Americans. He does not “represent the right.” It would be like comparing the leftwing socialist, liberal, and/or fascist idiocy of Janeane Garofalo, Sean Penn, Bono, Gwyneth Paltrow, Perez Hilton, or any other left-wing extremist to that of an elected official. It would be like saying that Democrat Sen. Harry Reid’s racist remarks proves that ALL liberals, yourself included, are racist. That Democrat Sen. Alan Grayson’s publicly calling a woman a whore is OK with you, because you are a Democrat. Or if a Hispanic or black or Asian or woman committed a crime, that all Hispanic, blacks, Asians, or women are criminals. Ridiculous generalization. One member of the left does not represent the mindset of all leftists, nor the same can be said of the right. Even when you were typing that drivel of fallacious argumentation, did you for even one moment realize what a silly comparison you were making?
As far as Martha Coakley “costing” anyone health care, she endorses the poorly conceived congressional plan that I’ve already pointed out in many postings, per many studies that aren’t funded by Team Obama, will indeed fail the people who need it most, has unconstitutional mandates, while costing us trillions of dollars. Women over 40 will not be covered for mammograms, there are mandates that force people to participate (this is America, not Cuba or Venezuela) under penalty of fines and/or imprisonment, it will balloon our government even more than it currently is, and it is a logistical disaster. It’s far worse than what we currently have. It has already been declared falling short of covering millions of Americans, but is geared to give health care coverage to Gitmo detainees and illegal aliens. The controversial “death panels” were denied being in the ObamaCare plan by the Democrats, yet after Palin pointed them out, and a lot of questions were being asked, the language that did indeed support her claims were removed (and now, we’re hearing, have been slipped back in by Democrats). Discussing “end of life” issues is a wise choice for all people… having the government ram them down our throats and denying medical treatment based on board decisions is totally different. Your attack on Palin is noted… you tried to slyly change what she is doing in AK to what our government is trying to force us to accept under revision of law. Hypocritical.
How can anyone in Congress vote for something that they’ve not even read? How can any thinking American permit this plan to go through without a clear understanding of what is indeed in the plan? How can a liberal be so trusting of its government to take over 1/6 of our economy and every aspect of our lives without even asking questions?
You’re comparing apples to oranges with your ill-informed efforts to defend a Senate candidate’s childlike, erroneous perception of the dangers of terrorism. And the mistake that Coakley has made about the Taliban not being in Afghanistan is VERY dangerous. As a government leader, she did not arm herself with current facts that were readily available about the Taliban’s presence in Afghanistan, that they have claimed responsibility in the December killings of American CIA agents. A deadly mistake if she were in a position to help guide national security. Thank goodness she isn’t in the US Senate, because to have made such “a mistake,” as you naively put it, could theoretically cost us dearly. Cost us in American lives. And it isn’t a lie… Coakley clearly said it during the Massachusetts debate on Monday. It’s important to know these things about a candidate for Congress… I would be equally alarmed if a Republican had said that the Taliban is not in Afghanistan. Would you have taken notice then? Or are you only defending Coakley because there is a letter D after her name on an election ballot?
Just like someone on the left to grasp at unrelated straws to defend a foolish Democrat’s dangerous ideology about terrorism.
