Despite Massachusetts Election, Democrats Close Their Ears to Americans on ObamaCare, May Change Vote Procedures

ObamaCare is not dead, far from it. Many Democrats in Washington are willing to hastily throw Martha Coakley under the Obama Bus for her embarrassing loss in the Massachusetts special election, or continue to whine and blame George W. Bush for the MA loss, rather than actually listen to and comprehend what Americans have been saying this past year about expensive government-run health care. The majority DOES NOT WANT IT.

Come hell or high water, it looks like the Democrat Senate is going to try to ram this multi-trillion-dollar monstrosity of a bill through, without going back to the drawing board, without listening to Americans… even if it means changing congressional voting procedures, with the insane Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid at the helm of the sinking Democrat ship.

No transparency, no hope, no change… unless a few Democrat leaders take a stance against this escalating tyranny.

From Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion: Democrats Have A Listening Problem:

The Democrats’ plan to force through an unpopular health care restructuring bill is not dead. Various procedural maneuvers are under consideration to get the bill through, in one form or another, in a manner which does not require another Senate cloture vote now that the Democrats do not have 60 votes:

The Senate Budget Committee Chairman said Wednesday he’s willing to use special rules to force changes to the healthcare legislation through the Senate with a simple majority vote.Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) made clear his openness to applying budget reconciliation to healthcare, a position he opposed prior to this week’s special election in Massachusetts, is contingent on the content of the bill.

Obama and the Democrats in Congress hear quite well, even if they don’t pick up the tones.

The problem is that the Democrats are not listening. The Democratic leadership is so out of touch with this country in 2010 that if by hook or crook Democrats pass their healthcare restructuring plans, they deserve everything they get in November, and then some.

Still whining, one year later…

ONE YEAR LATER: Senior W.H. Advisor Claims They Are “Victims” of Having to Follow the Bush Admin

Washington Wire reports the following:

Virginia Democratic Sen. Jim Webb is calling for a time-out on the health care overhaul until Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown is seated following his upset victory in the Massachusetts Senate race.

Calling the race “a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process” Webb said Democrats need to hold off on further action until Brown is formally sworn in to the chamber.

“It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated,” he said.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid indicated Democrats will make no attempts to delay Brown. In a statement tonight, Reid said he will move to seat him “as soon as the proper paperwork has been received.”

Democratic leaders were bullish today on their prospects for passing a health care overhaul in the face of a Republican win. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters earlier today that “whatever happens in Massachusetts, we will pass quality, affordable health care for all Americans and it will be soon.”

From Nice Deb:

Poor Mort Zuckerman voted for Obama, though, and clearly Obama is starting to grate on his nerves:

This health-care plan is going to be a fiscal disaster for the country. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs, not expansion of coverage. This is going to raise costs dramatically.

In the campaign, he said he would change politics as usual. He did change them. It’s now worse than it was. I’ve now seen the kind of buying off of politicians that I’ve never seen before. It’s politically corrupt and it’s starting at the top. It’s revolting.

UPDATE: Fur must be flying in DC right now. This was just posted by VotingFemale Speaks! — BREAKING: Pelosi Blocked; Can’t Get Senate ObamaCare Passed:

January 21, 2010

Who saw this coming??? Pelosi vow to move forward in spite of the election of Scott Brown is a vow anywhere…

Also on this breaking info, from Gateway Pundit, Pelosi: House Lacks Votes to Pass Senate Bill:

It’s a quagmire.

Speaker Pelosi told reporters today that democrats in the House lack the votes to pass the senate’s health care bill.

I agree with what Manateespirit wrote in the Gateway Pundit readers’ comments section on this:

Permit me if I don’t shed any tears over Nancy’s quagmire. I’d like to offer a high five to those Americans who have been calling, emailing, protesting, attending town hall meetings, and the Massachusetts voters for this positive turn of events.

Nastiness eventually gets kicked in the rear. I want these self-serving, pompous people out of DC. They are the most obnoxious bunch of people I have seen in a long time…Chris Wallace said they were the biggest bunch of crybabies he’s seen in 30 years of covering DC. I add obnoxious to that description.

And reader Dell chimed in with this:

The best part about her announcement is the announcement itself. If there was a chance that she could arm-twist two, three or four votes, she would. The announcement itself means that closer to twenty Representatives simply will not vote for the Senate bill. Period.

It would appear that at least SOME Democrats in the House learned a lesson on Tuesday. The White House certainly didn’t.

Finally we can celebrate in Massachusetts, The atmosphere was like the night the Red Sox won our first world series in almost 100 yrs. 2 million voters 100.000 in our favor \Thank God\ We prayed for a miracle to see \real change you can believe in\ so when you see AirforceOne landing in Logan airport the answer came from a higher place then from the hieghts of the heavens above and from the hearts of the people of Massachusetts that were not willing to see another slick move for Obamacare.Scott Brown stood strong the people gathered together and made a loud statement. The tides have turned and the country is stirred to do something. We are organized we are passionate and we are going to see \one Nation under God\ again. msnbc can try all they want to go back to name calling and somehow blaming George Bush for this, like a unpopular legend in their own minds the Pride that comes before a fall has been here for some time and we are watching the fall of the few partisan greedy ones holding on.they are holding on real tight to their very unpopular agenda and did i mention people are really not interested in what Obama has to say anymore. I live in Boston and didnt hear anything about him being here, awesome!!! give me a shout out at pjrazz.com or listen to a Boston conservative Pastor with a colorful past on THE PASTOR JOEY RAZZ SHOW ON CYBERSTATIONUSA.COM THE #1 ONLINE RADIO STATION.
