Inspiring: Scott Brown’s Daughter Ayla Sings National Anthem with Boston Pops (video)

Massachusetts senator-elect Scott Brown’s daughter, Ayla Brown, a contestant who was eliminated at the Top 16 level during season 5 of American Idol, sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Boston’s Fourth of July celebration while accompanied by the Boston Pops. This originally aired July 4, 2006.
Inspiring, patriotic, and goose-bump producing, here’s that incredible performance of hers of our national anthem. Tough to believe that Bucky Covington and Melissa McGhee advanced further that year in the AI competition than did Ayla.

I am very proud of Ayla, however, you need not put down Bucky Covington as you praise her. Bucky has had 3 Top 10 singles from his debut album that opened at #1 on the charts.
I was offering my opinion – she’s a FAR better singer. Bucky was sweet, but was horribly off-key most of the time on the show. Fact.
And William Hung has also sold a lot of records because of Idol, but Ayla sings better than he does, too.
