Another Promise Bites the Dust: Obama Now “Agnostic” about Raising Taxes on Middle-Class Families
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on February 11, 2010

Bloomberg reports that “President Barack Obama said he is ‘agnostic’ about raising taxes on households making less than $250,000 as part of a broad effort to rein in the budget deficit.”
What does that mean, exactly, that he’s agnostic about raising taxes on the middle-class? Dictionary definition should shed some light:
ag⋅nos⋅tic /ægˈnɒstɪk/ [ag-nos-tik]
–noun
1. a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.
2. a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
–adjective
3. of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.
4. asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.
Since POTUS most assuredly is not turning his back on the “Taxation God,” with a bit of reading between the lines we can determine that what our president was trying to convey by saying that he’s “agnostic” about raising taxes on American households making less than $250,000 is that he plans to do it — he intends to break yet another campaign promise and increase taxes on the middle class, unable/unwilling to commit to and stand by what he promised. Forget what he promised… forget what he campaigned on and said zillions of times.
That was before, this is now.
Raise your hand if you didn’t see THAT coming.
From Gateway Pundit: Stunner. Obama Now Says He’s “Agnostic” On Raising Taxes On Those Making Less Than $250,000:
After tripling the national budget deficit his first year in office Barack Obama told reporters yesterday that he’s “agnostic” to raising taxes on those making less than $250,000 a year to bring down the deficit.
Obama, in a Feb. 9 Oval Office interview, said that a presidential commission on the budget needs to consider all options for reducing the deficit, including tax increases and cuts in spending on entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare.
“The whole point of it is to make sure that all ideas are on the table,” the president said in the interview with Bloomberg BusinessWeek, which will appear on newsstands Friday. “So what I want to do is to be completely agnostic, in terms of solutions.”
Obama repeatedly vowed during the 2008 presidential election campaign that he would not raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000 and households earning less than $250,000 a year.
House Democrats Applaud Passage Of $1.9 Trillion Debt Limit Increase
Families are already struggling from coast to coast with unemployment and underemployment. So what could be worse than helping the Democrats out of the financial mess they’ve perpetuated than to hike the taxes on the middle class during the worst economic recession in three decades? They truly believe that they can spend themselves out of this economic recession. This, following the most irresponsible, outrageous budget ever proposed by a sitting president.

CBO budget for Team Obama
Another promise bites the dust from our Liar in Chief… at least the president waited a year before breaking it, unlike his other broken promises.

Vicki,… still pink.
This must be a problem on my end. I viewed this at home this morning, and your new avatar with the aircraft was displaying perfectly. Now I’m at work, and it’s back to pink.
Urgggghhh…
Vicki,… don’t wrench something on this issue.
There are other sites that have given us weird looking images.
The image really doesn’t matter, it’s the content of the opinion.
Thanks for trying.

I’ve not given up… it displayed just fine early this morning on my home PC. Must put on my thinking cap and figure out what happened once I opened up at work. A puzzle to be solved…
