Lenin and Marx Would Be Proud: School Indoctrination in the Ideological Era of “Hopenchange” (video)

In the “Age of All Things Obama,” school indoctrination by Team Obama is flourishing, sometimes right under parents’ noses and eyes. I cannot remember any other time in my life that such infiltration of the federal government’s political agenda has occurred at the school level, but perhaps I was just not paying attention. “Hopenchange” indoctrination at the American school level is escalating, and appears to be getting out of control. And it’s looking more socialist/fascist by the day.
Revolutionary communist and social scientist Karl Marx once proclaimed, “The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.”
It was Vladimir Lenin, Russian founder of the Bolshevik political party, who said, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” He also said, “Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever,” as well as, “It is true that liberty is precious; so precious that it must be carefully rationed.”
Any of those quotes seem vaguely familiar?
Here are a few examples of current American school indoctrination — some of it is shocking.
Indoctrination Example #1: Michelle Malkin writes:
The Census educrats are urging your schools to turn your kids into government cheerleaders — literally.
Johnny may not be able to add, but he’ll be able to root loudly for his right to federal funding based on the most inflated head-count numbers possible. Yay!
Malkin provides examples from a school brochure of what the government suggests kids do to “generate enthusiasm” for the 2010 census. No mention if there was extra credit for students to watch the expensive $2.5 million commercial our government bought (with taxpayers’ money) for air time during the Super Bowl this past Sunday. The commercial was a real snoozer, and likely did next to nothing to remind people of the upcoming census. But no matter. The commercial aired and we paid for it to air, to be produced, and the “who in the heck knows” asking price by green-guru Ed Begley Jr. to appear in it. Which, in the harsh light of a trillion-dollar deficit that Obama will be saddling us with, seems like a mere drop in the government-power-grab bucket.

Indoctrination Example #2: Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit has uncovered a controversial sexual book list for American school children, which includes topics such as underage sex with adults and homosexual sex — reportedly endorsed by Obama’s Safe School Czar Kevin Jennings. These are books for students to read or have read to them, with some as young as kindergarten… sex books for 6-year-olds?

Indoctrination Example #3: This is chilling. Rather than support existing ROTC programs on school campuses, it appears that Pres. Obama is setting up the machinery in Ohio to create what some are calling the beginning to his own personal “youth army.” The following was posted at Right Pundits by Donald Borsch Jr. — Obama Seeks to Indoctrinate High Schoolers ala Nazi Youth:
Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America is (and I quote) recruiting in our high schools to “build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda” …………of national socialism.
The Ohio High School is Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio.
This is incredible. And evil. Suffer the little children — enlisted like SS youth. This is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it’s his own private breeding farm. Once again academic learning and achievement is hopelessly abandoned, and supplanted by radical leftist activism from the leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators in the perverse public school system.
Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.

You must read it all. Even if you voted for the man and you like the way he smiles and wears a suit and have no problem at all with him saying “corpse-man” instead of “corps man.” You must read it.
Indoctrination Example #4:
Recommended reading for American school teachers at the NEA site includes the literary propaganda of left-wing radical Saul Alinsky.
Also at the NEA website is a list of celebrations that students can research. I found it interesting that missing from that list of celebrations and holidays are Rosh HaShanah, Pentecost, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day, and Easter. Although Kwanzaa is there, as are Ramadan, Eid-Al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Lohri, Declaration of the Bab, and Juneteenth. Maybe that’s just an unintentional oversight or the list isn’t intended to include all holidays and celebrations — Christmas, Good Friday, Passover, Yom Kippur, Purim, and Palm Sunday are on the list.
Indoctrination Example #5: Remember these songs being taught in our schools, praising the magnificence of Barack Obama? Curious if parents were ever notified of this before the children were taught to praise Barack Hussein Obama, or if they were given a copy of the lyrics of this song in advance. Did the New Jersey school district approve teaching its children this partisan song? What do you think the media would have done had a similar song been taught to and sung by school children praising George W. Bush? Yeah, head-and eyeball-exploding outrage would have spewed and sputtered from Keith Olbermann’s gigantic head.

Indoctrination Example #6: Back in September 2009, I wrote this about the controversial “I Pledge” video, filled with attractive left-wing celebrities, that was being shown in some American school classrooms (video of it is below):
I liked some of the bits in this Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher propaganda video, but I want to know about all the slavery in America TODAY that these fancy leftist celebs claim they will abolish. SLAVERY? In America? My first reaction: “What the hell?”
And pledging to SERVE and be a SERVANT to Obama… no, this is unacceptable left-wing crap, and if George W. Bush had put forth something like this, well… you know the song. No way is my son going to be watching this video or anything remotely like this. And as far as PLEDGING to serve the community, bite me. What in the heck do these self-absorbed wealthy celebrities think that Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Kiwanas Club, Rotary Club, church adult and youth groups, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Civil Air Patrol, Job’s Daughters, Special Olympics, Adopt-A-Road, Christian Children’s Fund, St. Vincent De Paul’s, thousands of PTAs, the USO, Kiva.org, and thousands of other service and community-help groups through out the country have been doing all these many years?
Now that it’s the Age of Obama, it’s as though, to these clueless statists, community service to others was invented on January 20, 2009. Please, Demi and all your leftist bubble-headed friends, stop insulting us. And to all rappers out there… yes, you should turn off the lights when you leave a room. And not just when Barack Obama is president.

And just when you feel your energy sapping away, dreading that all hope for our country is lost, alarmed that you knew little about this political propaganda and indoctrination going on in our schools, well, then you might read something fabulous like this from HillBuzz: Our Mission in 2010: To Thank George W. and Laura Bush In Person.
Read it… it will make you feel better. Doesn’t change the level of government indoctrination, but I’m reminded from this HillBuzz piece that 2012 isn’t that far away. And more and more parents are wising up to this administration’s Alinsky-Marx-Lenin tactics.
