The controversial video footage of Olympian Nodar Kumaritashvili’s tragic crash in luge track practice was pulled yesterday from YouTube, but has been restored today (for now) by Associated Press. The footage of the luge accident has been broadcast by a number of cable and regular news shows worldwide, so although I’m still grappling with the appropriateness of providing it here, it is readily available from a number of sources.

Be forewarned: this video is graphic and chilling.

Also, provided here are some video news reports of the 21-year-old Olympic luger’s sad, tragic death. Many are saying that his death was preventable. There is also a video of anti-Olympics protesters clashing with Vancouver police.
