Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin Clicked: Best Opening Ceremony/Roast in Years at 2010 Academy Awards (video)

The best opening roast at the Academy Awards that I’ve seen in years… kudos to entertainment veterans Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, who really clicked in their duo snarky comedy shtick while opening the Oscar ceremony last night. Hilarious stuff.

Lampooning, teasing, and roasting the evening’s Oscar award nominees, such as Sandra Bullock (who won the Best Actress Oscar), Meryl Streep (who didn’t win), and battling directors/former spouses James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow (Bigelow ultimately beat out ex-hubby Cameron’s Avatar by wining both the Best Director and Best Picture Oscars for the low-budget The Hurt Locker) was much funnier than I remember the opening being in previous years — at least, IMHO.

I'm a conservative frugalist. My priorities: Watchdogging the government, making sure our tax dollars are spent wisely, living within our budgets (at home and in Washington, DC), and adhering to our Constitution and the conservative principles upon which it was developed by our founding fathers. Also, loving God, my family, and my country. Be wise, be frugal. God bless America!
