Nancy 'And Your Little Dog, Too' Pelosi can't keep the House Democrats under her witchy thumb... Ohio's Kucinich says he'll vote 'no' on the health care bill
Nancy Pelosi just can’t keep those darned Democrats — those who fear being booted out of Congress by angry American voters — under her witchy, twitchy thumb.
And then, there are a few Democrat congressmen who never did like the health care bill, like Ohio’s Democrat congressman Dennis Kucinich.

RUSH: Dennis Kucinich last night on PMSNBC confirms his “no” vote on Obamacare.

KUCINICH: I voted against the first version of the bill in the House. I told the president twice, in two different meetings, that I couldn’t support the bill if it didn’t have a robust public option, and if it didn’t have something that was going to protect consumers from these rapid premium increases — and, you know what? The White House counsel is wavering. To hear the president you’d think that he was for single payer, at least the public option, but he’s not. This bill represents a giveaway to the insurance industry, $70 billion a year, and no guarantees of any control over premiums, forcing people to buy private insurance, five consecutive years of double-digit premium increases. I’m sorry. I just don’t see that this bill is a solution.

RUSH: Lawrence O’Donnell is the host here and doesn’t like what he’s hearing here. He said, “So did we just get a ‘no’ there, Kucinich? You’re going to vote against the Senate bill, the first stage of this process in the House?”

KUCINICH: If that sounded like a “no,” you’re correct.
O’DONNELL: (snorts) O-okay. Would you be comfortable if it turns out you are, in effect, the single vote that defeats health care reform?
KUCINICH: Every vote counts. I’m one of 435 members of the House of Representatives.

This next interview is a bit maddening and has erroneous information, but I do believe Ohio’s Rep. Kucinich is genuine in his passion and he explains why he plans to vote against the health care bill. Among other things, he’s just plain wrong that government-provided, taxpayer-funded health care for everyone is a right.
But a “no” vote is a “no” vote, so keep at it, Congressman.

We already have state-provided health care in many states. In Arizona, it’s called Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, or AHCCCS for short. AHCCS provides no-frills health care services to those who don’t have insurance and can’t afford it. Massachusetts has its own state-provided health care, as do many other states. So this claim that people around the country who are without health insurance are dropping like flies unless Obama saves the day is a big fat lie.
