More Newspaper Layoffs Imminent… Now 600 More Employees Will Be Jobless in Hawaii, Despite Obama’s “Affections”

It was just a few months ago that the liberal media was all ga-ga over Pres. Barack Obama and his family’s lavish vacationing in Hawaii during Christmas.
USA Today even boldly predicted in a December 29 headline that “Obamas’ affection for Hawaii means better times for state.”
Yeah, well, think again.
From Associated Press, Honolulu Advertiser employees get layoff notices:
HONOLULU – Layoff notices have gone out to 600 employees of The Honolulu Advertiser.
The notices say the workers will lose their jobs when owner Gannett Co. sells the newspaper and related assets to Oahu Publications Inc., owner of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.
The sale is expected to be completed between April 12 and April 30.
The majority owner of the Star-Bulletin, David Black, has put his newspaper up for sale. However, he has said if a buyer isn’t found, the two newspapers will merge and layoffs will occur.
It isn’t known how many Advertiser employees would be rehired under a merged operation.

Wow. I truly appreciate your kind note. Thank you so much. But as I’ve said before, I’m a patriot like you and others – I firmly believe that knowledge is power. While I can’t control what is happening to our country, I can empower others with knowledge, and with that power, Americans can take action and move mountains. Complacency is not an option – socialism is the enemy that must be vanquished.
I love America too much, as do you, to let her be reinvented by a handful of crafty, disingenuous politicians, for her to be reduced to a lifeless shell of what she once was, yet can still be, without a fight. God is my strength, and you, my family, and others like you are my motivation. I am but one voice in this “conservative uprising,” but united and guided by our Constitution, we are indeed formidable. Silence is acceptance, and we must refuse to be silent. We must remain informed and vigil, we must refuse to allow our government to stop being our servant and to become our master. Our founding fathers were wise and built our Constitution upon deep analysis of other governments, and they made every effort possible to write the document to withstand the test of time, for it to prevent the government from becoming self-important, oppressive power-mongers – to keep the power of the nation in the hands of the people. The PEOPLE. I have tremendous faith in most of the people of America. Let freedom ring!

Obama is ruining this country… too many jobs lost to count.
More unemployment – worse than when Jimmy Carter was in office. All Obama’s fault but hey let’s blame Bush. LIbs never learn.
