Dems Want America to Feel Defeated… Game’s Not Over on Health Care, You Scoundrels — I’m a Diamondbacks Fan & We DON’T Give Up

Flashback to 2001:
In an amazing baseball season, the newcomer MLB Arizona Diamondbacks team broke the record previously held by the Florida Marlins by making it to the World Series in just their fourth season of existence. The D-Backs took on the three-time defending champion New York Yankees, who were trying to become the first team to win four straight titles since the Yankees’ five consecutive titles from 1949 to 1953.
The fledgling baseball team from the desert was pitted against the old-time favorite, the team from the Big Apple.
Long story short: ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS WON THE WORLD SERIES, THE NEW YORK YANKEES LOST

The game’s never over until it’s been fully played and it is officially over. If predictions on odds-on favorites were a sure thing, Las Vegas would be a dust bowl, the Kentucky Derby would draw no crowds, Wimbledon tennis matches would be ho-hum boring. The odds against having the winning ticket in any lottery has never stopped millions of people from plunking down a few bucks, ‘cuz you can’t win if you don’t play.
Barack “Stop Whining, I Won” Obama, Nancy “What’s a Constitution?” Pelosi, and the other statist vermin in the Democrat party want American dissenters to believe that they’ve got this foul thing in the bag… if that were the case, the adoring Obama media machine would not be crowing every hour about progress made on waffling Blue Dogs and their health care/Slaughter Solution votes. If that were true, the Democrats wouldn’t have another bill lined up to follow the health care bill on Sunday (used in times of emergency when votes don’t go the way the majority wants, the first vote is delayed while the second bill is introduced, presumably so that the majority leader can convince/bribe/strong arm more votes before it’s finalized).
They need us to pull back, to feel down and discouraged, to be disheartened so as to make their victory easier. They need us to give up before the end of the game.
Fat chance.

The deem and pass vote being pushed by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat leadership is nothing more than a scam being perpetrated on the American people. The Democrats know that the healthcare proposal is incredibly unpopular with the voters and they will do everything in their power to protect House members like Bill Owens from being held accountable for his vote in next November’s mid-term elections.
If we have learned anything over the last year, it’s that the Americans are thirsting for transparency and accountability in Washington. Unfortunately, Bill Owens, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are ignoring these cornerstones of democracy in their cynical quest to ram this unpopular legislation down the throats of the American people.
Could health care be passed by Nancy “Screw the Constitution” Pelosi and her gutless, quaking minions by using the “DemonPass Slaughter-America-and-Her-Economy” bill? Of course it could go that way.
Could America’s voice finally be heard, and those weak-kneed politicians who are waffling decide at the last minute to honor the demands of the majority of Americans and vote “NO”? Of course it could go that way.
Which way will it go on Sunday in Congress?
The game’s not over, buckeroos… it’s anyone’s game at this point. Nothing is inevitable. But what I do know is that quitters never win.
I’m a Diamondbacks fan. Giving up before the season was over was never an option in 2001… fighting until the very end, stretching beyond one’s limits, ignoring the critics, doing the impossible even when the odds are against you. That spirit and that determination are what make for champions.
I believe within every fiber of my body that America is a nation of champions, and I believe many will answer the clarion call to either attend the Washington DC tea party rally at the Capitol on Saturday, or will blitz the heck out of the phones and fax lines in DC to contact Congress and let them know WE DON’T WANT THIS HEALTH CARE BILL.

Warning to Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Rahm Emanuel, and the other weasels in Washington who are willing to sell America’s greatness down the river for a few pieces of silver for themselves or for a bigger socialist agenda with their mounting lies and government takeovers… we have not yet begun to fight.
It ain’t over ’til it’s over, patriots. God bless America.
