With sinking hearts, we’ve known this was going to happen, no matter what — they’d deny any changes, including taxpayers providing expensive Viagra for sex offenders and child rapists (Roman Polanski must be delighted) — ram the “wreckonciliation bill” through, grotesque errors, earmarks, bribes, hidden entitlements and all, because that is the nature of many of the elected Democrat congressional members of Congress and their lack of character and lack of adherence to our Constitution.

They’ve pretty much said “F-U” to America. To Americans. To the Constitution.

This administration’s unleashed passion for corrupt processes, thug tactics, lying, suppressing information, skewing CBO numbers, and arrogantly ignoring the majority of American voters is unprecedented. This totalitarianism, willful disregard of the nation’s majority of voting citizens, government tyranny… all of this is unlike anything seen in recent United States’ history of the government thwarting the desires of the American people.

Feels more like Cuba these days in America, or the old Soviet Union, or Venezuela… dictatorship.

The new rallying cry from these power-hungry Democrat leaders in Congress and the White House is, Shut up, America… WE WON, YOU DIDN’T, SO JUST DEAL WITH IT.

Guess we’ll all be paying for Viagra and other erectile dysfunction meds for pedophiles and sex offenders after all. Guess we have to accept that using our taxpayer dollars to buy votes is the way of the land during the Age of Obama. Guess we have to buckle down and start saving for the super-rocket jump in every working middle-class American’s taxes (except those on welfare/below the poverty level and have never paid taxes). Guess “transparency” is the new code word for “we’ll hide everything from America’s view just because we feel like it and we’re in charge of controlling the people” from our elected representatives. Guess we’re not suppose to voice out our anger at the decimation of our liberties, the destruction of the Constitution, because Democrats “WON.”

Not for long, buckeroos.

From NY Times, Senate Passes Set of Changes to Health Care Overhaul:

WASHINGTON — After running through an obstacle course of Republican amendments and procedural objections, the Senate on Thursday afternoon approved of a package of changes to the Democrats’ sweeping health care overhaul, capping a bitter partisan battle over the most far-reaching social legislation in nearly half a century.

Republicans, raising procedural challenges, identified flaws that struck out minor provisions to the bill. Because of those changes, it now goes back to the House for one more vote, though passage seemed virtually assured.

Democrats said they were confident the measure would soon be on President Obama’s desk for his signature.

The vote, just after 2 p.m., was 56 to 43, with the Republicans unanimously opposed. Senators cast their votes standing individually at their desks, a ceremonial gesture reserved for historic occasions. Three Democrats opposed the measure, Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Ben Nelson of Nebraska. Senator Johnny Isakson, Republican of Georgia, was ill and did not vote.

The bill, a budget reconciliation measure that the Republicans could not filibuster, also included a broad restructuring of federal student loan programs to pay for billions of dollars in school initiatives — a centerpiece of Mr. Obama’s education agenda that has been overshadowed by the larger health care fight.

With both sides girding for a last round of parliamentary challenges, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. arrived in the chamber to preside over the session in his role as president of the Senate. Mr. Biden served for 36 years as a senator from Delaware, making him intimately familiar with the chamber, its rules and precedents, and the main combatants on the floor.

As Senator Judd Gregg formally made the procedural challenges, Mr. Biden twice replied, “The point of order is sustained.” Then, he added, “Both provisions are stricken.”

Once the roll call was completed, Mr. Biden said, “There are 56 yeas and 43 nays, the bill as amended is passed.”

The vote came after Senate Democrats defeated more than 40 Republican amendments aimed at delaying or derailing the legislation, including proposals related to insurance coverage of erectile dysfunction drugs for convicted sex offenders, the legality of gay marriage in the District of Columbia, and gun rights.

As the Senate worked into the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning, the parliamentarian told lawmakers that he would strike out some provisions related to the education portion of the bill because they violated the complex budget reconciliation rules.

There was a time when Congress’ job was to draft, consider and responsibly pass legislation. Under President Obama and the Democrats, Congress passes legislation first and worries about whether it works later.

EDIT: Specifically, it’s irritating to hear Obama talk about the need to be careful and responsible when that wasn’t a concern when the legislation was being written and considered. It’s like taking the time to research which are the best new cars after you already bought the clunker.

This next video has been out a day or two now, but I’m just now catching up. Michigan’s Democrat congressman John Dingle had this to say about Americans’ inherent freedoms, the rights of individuals, the importance of small government to not interfere in people’s lives, that Americans exercising their First Amendment rights is good, that the country is ruled by the PEOPLE, as stated in our nation’s most cherished documents.

ROFL – GOTCHA!

What Rep. Dingle really said is that it takes time and effort for the Obama government to work out the kinks in his government-mandated health care and to control the people… control the people, like the Gestapo did, Mr. Dingle? Like Chairman Mao did? Like Hitler did? Like Chávez and Castro (more in his heyday, less so now that he’s dying) do now?

Michigan readers, listen up — this is your very own socialist in elected office. Take action, call his office to decry his words and vote on ObamaCare, lend support to his election opposition… vote this joker out!

Michigan’s Democrat Rep. John Dingle Admits They Want To Control Us… Takes a Long Time to “Control the People”

Bottom line, though, on this early, early weathervane: The “repeal and replace” strategy is alive and well. In fact, to further reassure centrist Dems that we’re not going back to the status quo, the new GOP talking point is to promise full repeal while targeting the most unpopular provisions (like the mandate) first. That’s reminiscent of Cornyn’s now infamous “partial repeal” strategy, but the biggest problem with what Cornyn said was the poor messaging, not the idea that certain elements of O-Care might be replicated in a scaled-down GOP package. This is an improvement in that regard, at least.

We’ll be hearing plenty of screeching about the GOP’s fierce partisanship in trying to undo the big liberal achievement over the next few months, so in addition to mentally flagging this poll as evidence of where bipartisan sentiment lies, enjoy this clip of Gibbs comparing McCain to a six-year-old for vowing to be uncooperative. What’s the problem, Gibbsy? Madam Speaker says partisanship is just fine when there’s an important goal at stake.
