More Obama-media coverage on the new Arizona law against illegal immigration than on any tea party event in the past year. Throw in the reliable, rabid race card from Rev. Al Sharpton (who conveniently is ignoring the illegal alien crime rate in Arizona and is telling falsehoods about the law, which dovetails the existing federal law), vandalism and violence over the weekend at the AZ state capitol building (which included refried beans)… you’ve got a dangerous powder keg in Arizona over illegal immigration, but a majority of Americans (and Arizonans) are in support of the new law.

NEW YORK – The Rev. Al Sharpton and New York-area Hispanic leaders vowed Sunday to fight Arizona’s new immigration law through legal challenges and with civil disobedience if those challenges fail.
Sharpton said that just as freedom riders battled segregation in the 1960s, he would organize “freedom walkers” to challenge the Arizona bill that requires police to question people about their immigration status if they suspect someone is in the country illegally.
“We will go to Arizona when this bill goes into effect and walk the streets with people who refuse to give identification and force arrest,” Sharpton said.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the immigration bill Friday. It will take effect in late July or early August.
President Barack Obama has called the new law “misguided” and has instructed the Justice Department to examine it to see if it’s legal. Civil rights advocates have vowed to challenge the law in court, saying it would lead to racial profiling.
But Brewer has ordered state officials to develop a training course for officers to learn what constitutes reasonable suspicion someone is in the U.S. illegally.
Supporters of the law say Arizona’s example will force the federal government to take steps to seal the border.
In this next video, from Sharpton’s radio show, the race-baiting Sharpton, while misrepresenting the new law, admits that a majority in the black community do not support illegal immigration. Might make it tough for him to rally support with African-Americans.

The impetus to furious objections to the new Arizona law that makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally is primarily an effort by the organized Latino community to expand its political base and thus power. The Governor of Arizona just signed a bill which, in the words of opponents, is the equivalent of the Japanese internment during WWII, the Nazi Nuremberg laws, and a host of other racist or allegedly racist wrongs which have been committed since the dawn of mankind. Cassy Fiano has a good roundup of the reaction.
I then did something almost no one else has done. Certainly not the people claiming the bill is racist. I actually read the bill, not just the news reports.
The bill does raise public policy issues as to whether we really want to enforce the immigration laws, but it is not racist.
The bill amends existing law to prevent the type of “sanctuary city” resolutions which have passed elsewhere in the nation which seek to restrict local authorities from enforcing federal immigration laws, reporting illegal immigrants to the federal government, and a host of other restrictions:
11-1051 A. No official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state may limit or restrict the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law.
What follows after this introductory provision are specific provisions which empower (but do not mandate) law enforcement to enforce the law, including asking for proof of legal immigration status if there is an otherwise lawful stop of the person.
Again, the law does not authorize unlawful stops, but only permits verification of immigration status once a lawful stop has been made (emphasis mine):
11-1051 B. For any lawful contact made by a law enforcement official or a law enforcement agency of this state of a law enforcement official or a law enforcement agency of a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state where reasonable suspicion exists that the person is an alien who is unlawfully present in the United States, a reasonable attempt shall be made, when practicable, to determine the immigration status of the person, except if the determination may hinder or obstruct an investigation….

Thanks for taking the time to inform Americans and those that love America, about the corruption and betrayal by Democrats and RINOS toward the American People and their Oaths of Office they take. Their number ONE DUTY is to protect us from harm from foreign invaders who would kill, rape, kidnap, torture, hook our kids on dangerous drugs and steal our jobs or expect us to be like a slave and go to work so that they can suck off our tax dollars. Since when is sneaking accross a border or violating your visa an act worthy of someone becoming a U.S. citizen?
If we do not take out country BACK from the Socialist Elites THIS election, I don’t think we will get it back anytime soon.

Denny – I truly appreciate your kind, supportive words. I have tremendous faith in the American public (well, most of it). Knowledge is power, and by empowering other patriots with knowledge, we have truth and principles on our side to halt this statist regime. But we can’t become complacent, can’t kick back and let it happen under our noses. As we draw closer to the elections, the statists will amplify their efforts to malign, mock, lie about, and castigate their opposers. It’s the Alinsky method that Obama and his cronies have mastered. We must throw it back just as hard and just as decisively, but not throw lies, just hammer them relentlessly with the truth. It ain’t over ’til it’s over… until the very last vote is counted in November. Rev Sharpton is a disgrace and does more harm than good in the black community. He lives to stir the racism pot and tear at old wounds – since when did he ever care about Mexicans? This is just convenient for him. front page news. Guarnteed he never read the law.If there were no racial issues or racial story to spin into a race fury, he’d be out of a freakin job. Sharpton is one of the many reasons that in the broad spectrum of minorities in the US, the stereotypical black communities in blue states are decades behind the Asian communities through the country. This AZ issue will be hot on his plate until something more provacative or showbizzy comes along (like Michael Jackson’s death) then he’ll boogie off. Hes a pathetic media whore.

Statistically, Phoenix has the highest number of kidnappings (related to illegal immigration) in the country. You must be OK with that. Drug wars and gang infiltration from Mexico are spilling into Arizona border cities, and innocent people – of all races and colors – are being robbed, harassed, bullied, attacked, and killed. Many legal immigrants fear the illegals. You must be OK with that, too. Not all illegal aliens are violent, but all of them are criminals because they are breaking federal law.

Please tell me which countries permit people to enter illegally, without any documentation, across their borders. Answer: NONE.
It has to do with protecting United States sovereignty and the citizens – something that ALL nations do to some level, but for some reason, you just aren’t grasping. Sen. McCain is not a conservative Republican, but a RINO. Until a few weeks ago, he was all for granting amnesty, no questions asked, for the nation’s illegals. Now he’s suddenly actively trying to secure our border since it’s an election year.
This law has NOTHING to do with singling out just one race, but this is the lie that keeps being told – the illegal Chinese immigration situation in Arizona is also growing. They, too, will be arrested and deported. A blind person would get the Braille version of the law, read it, and “see” that you’re manipulating it to what you want the law to be. You want it to be racist-driven, but it isn’t. You want the police of Arizona to be racists, even those who are Hispanic or black.
You want to believe that God wants Arizona’s citizens to continue to be victimized as they have been for years because no one will step up to the plate to enforce the federal law. And yes, you do want laws to be broken, Linda, because this AZ law was specifically written to be almost identical to federal law.
The Bible cites “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” So, if an illegal alien rapes and kills a little girl or murders a man on his property, what do we do? If an illegal alien is responsible for bringing in millions of dollars of illegal drugs that destroy children’s lives, what do we do? If an illegal alien is in charge of kidnapping Mexicans in Phoenix, and if the ransom is paid late, they chop off one of his or her fingers, what do we do? If an illegal alien commits vehicular murder and dashes back over the border to avoid arrest, what do we do?
We nip it in the bud, and keep people we know nothing about out of our “house.” We take responsible action to protect our society, to protect our house, Linda. These people have broken the Ten Commandments, and you’re twisting the teachings of Jesus. You keep bringing up “widows and orphans.” First off, Mexico authorities do not send its orphans here. And the vast majority of people coming here illegally are NOT widows. Illegal is illegal, no matter who it is. “Nice” people don’t get to break laws vs. bad people – the law is for everyone.
We start by improving our nation’s security by keeping these people from getting in in the first place, and do background checks on those who do enter legally and strive to become US citizens legally. Bad guys don’t get to come here, pure and simple.
It’s like not locking your door at night – why would you stupidly leave your doors wide open when you go to bed, essentially inviting all sorts of criminals into your home, when locking them out will prevent most from entering? Of course, some will still manage to break in, but you’ve increased your level of safety. Do you leave your doors wide open at night, Linda? Or do you lock up the house?
Arizona did this because the federal government has done nothing to protect our borders and the damage and dangers to our state and the citizens are escalating. The Arizona law is nearly identical to the federal law, which has been in effect for over 70 years – but the government has not enforced it because of minority lobbyists and special interest groups. Did you read the law, Linda??? Racial profiling is prohibited. It’s right there in the law. 70 percent of Arizonans support it, 57 percent of Americans support it, and it does NOT encourage racial profiling. You want to believe that because that is the rhetoric on the news, but it’s a falsehood. If I were pulled over while driving a vehicle without a license, without proper ID, I would be taken to the police station for additional questioning, believe me. And I am a US citizen. No I’m not a minority, but I would have broken AZ law by not having my license with me. That’s all you need for ID here, and since illegal aliens can’t get drivers licensees, it suffices as proper proof of citizenship. No papers necessary. If someone is here legally from another country on a work permit, a visa, a passport, they would just show police that. And THAT is federal law, not state law.
I ALWAYS carry proof of identification/citizenship – my AZ license, even if I’m not driving. My daughter who is 19 doesn’t drive, and so she has a state-issued ID. My son is in high school, and when he is away from the house, he has his school ID. Why is this so easy for citizens, but not for illegal aliens? It’s an excuse, and a poor one. The protests you’re seeing are not as prevalent as you’d think – the Phoenix one yesterday, with Rev. Al Sharpton, only had 5,000 show up. I have attended tea party events with double that amount and no 24/7 news coverage. The majority of Americans support this law.
The Lord does not support what these despicable animals do, Linda. God does not encourage criminals to attack peace-loving people, regardless of race, and He does not endorse their hate and low regard for human life.
They are horrible people, many of whom do not value life. The fact that you support them is naive and dangerous. Many legal Mexican Americans also fear them – I know this because I have many Latino friends, and none of them want to live in the border towns, they’re too dangerous – in Mexico, the drug lords are currently murdering the police. Monterrey and Juarez are under siege and tourists are discouraged from entering. Kidnapping is one of the biggest businesses in Mexico, bringing in billions of dollars and destroying the lives of people who have done nothing wrong.
Tell you what – in your neighborhood, how about you have a couple of crack houses and illegal alien drop houses next door to you? And then, after a few drive-by shootings have killed some innocent people, gang members from Juarez have raped or tortured a few women or children, drug and human trafficking have taken its toll (because most illegal aliens are not documented) we’ll see how much you want to embrace illegal aliens. This is a reality in Arizona and other states.
Most people racism, and if you’ve read any of the posts I have here, you’d see that it is the breaking of law, the lack of protection of our citizens that I also despise. SB1070 is important to protect Arizona since the federal government has been lax about this illegal alien problem for decades. Bush tried to improve our border security while in office, but was shot down by Democrats. Napolitano was a joke. No one is “targeted” with this law — the law is very specific on what police can do – but you’ve not read it. The only ones who have something to fear from this law are those who are not in America legally.
And yes, this inconveniences them, but we don’t treat them in the same despicable manner Mexico treats its illegal immigrants. No torture, no execution like some countries do, just deportation… send them back to their country. And if they want to become US citizens, excellent. But they must do it legally.

You’ve referred to Exodus 22 as some kind of “proof” that God permits illegal aliens to live here without fear of arrest or deportation – here are some portions from Exodus (New International Version) that you didn’t mention, which supports slavery, the selling of children, marriage of women who have pre-marital sex, killing sorceresses, killing those who curse their parents, and killing those who have sex with animals, and other activities – Old Testament mandates issued prior to the birth of Jesus Christ:
Exodus 22:1 – If a man steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it, he must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep.
Exodus 22:2-3 – If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; but if it happens after sunrise, he is guilty of bloodshed.
Exodus 22:10-11 – If a man gives a donkey, an ox, a sheep or any other animal to his neighbor for safekeeping and it dies or is injured or is taken away while no one is looking, the issue between them will be settled by the taking of an oath before the LORD that the neighbor did not lay hands on the other person’s property. The owner is to accept this, and no restitution is required.
Exodus 22:16-17 – If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins.
Exodus 22:18 – Do not allow a sorceress to live.
Exodus 22:19 – Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must be put to death.
Exodus 22:29 – You must give me the firstborn of your sons.
Now, the portion about widows and orphans that you have brought up several times, from Exodus 22:22-23 – Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan. If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry.
“Take advantage of” is a far cry from “do not have them obey the laws of the state and the nation.” This entry has nothing to do with permitting illegal immigration of widows and children.
You’re cherry-picking from the Bible to support your claim that the Lord allows people to break federal illegal immigration law. What about the citation about pre-marital sex, slave ownership, killing those who curse their parents, or the other mandates from Exodus cited here?
Here’s Exodus 21:1, which gives specific guidelines on owning slaves…
If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything. If he comes alone, he is to go free alone; but if he has a wife when he comes, she is to go with him.
Exodus 21:7, which gives guidelines on a man selling his daughter…
If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as menservants do.
Here are some others:
Exodus 21:17 – Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.
Exodus 21:18-19 – If men quarrel and one hits the other with a stone or with his fist and he does not die but is confined to bed, the one who struck the blow will not be held responsible if the other gets up and walks around outside with his staff; however, he must pay the injured man for the loss of his time and see that he is completely healed.
Exodus 21:20-17 – If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.
Linda, Exodus is not proof of God’s support of illegal immigration. Using the Old Testament, and the laws of that time per Exodus, obviously are not all applicable in this day and age. Unless you’re in support of slavery, killing those who curse their parents, and relinquishing first born sons.
Exodus summarizes the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt, and much of what is contained in there, as I’ve pointed out, is not a part of contemporary Christian practice, such as this mandate from Exodus 23:19 – Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
This is the most important entry in Exodus, in my opinion, in its applicability to current-day illegal immigration…
Exodus 23:9 – Do not oppress an alien; you yourselves know how it feels to be aliens, because you were aliens in Egypt.
And that is why America is so great, giving aliens the ability to become citizens, to be welcomed to this country and be accepted into society. Aliens are not legally oppressed in America, as evidenced by the plethora of cultural influences we as a nation encourage, the success and contributions of millions of immigrants since the United States’ inception. America has always been the shining example of permitting others to come here and prosper.

Many illegals have fake ID and many are not hired by legitimate companies, but are part of huge crime rings. So who is hiring the kidnappers, the murderers, the drug dealers, the assault gun sellers? Who is filing employment papers on gang members who break into people’s homes, who kidnap people to profit from ransoms? Kidnapping is a huge “business” – it brings in billions of dollars each year. As is human smuggling and child prostitution. Who do you arrest from hiring illegals to do these crimes? Not Mr. Corporate Head, that’s for sure.

All that the Arizona illegal immigration law has done is make it legal for police to ask someone, if there is reasonable suspicion and if another legitimate reason to contact that person has occurred, about their status in the country. That’s it. The federal law has been downplayed here, but Congress and the federal government have not been proactive in enforcing that law. So Arizona, after begging for years for help, has decided to enact a state law that is almost identical in its wording to the federal immigration law.
I don’t need help the illegals do and the only way.. the ONLY way these people will understand is to NOT provide them jobs.

Fake IDs are on the rise – Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been making sweeps to arrest illegal aliens in different companies who were hired, and many had bogus identification. His illegal alien sweeps have made a huge difference, although La Raza is screaming about it.
Many employers thought they were following the law but were duped by fake ID. Making bogus IDs for illegal aliens is very profitable and is on the rise – some California DMV employees were arrested yesterday for doing that (I’ve posted the news story this morning).
