Spring Is Here: London Woman Skis to North Pole, Arctic Ice Levels Register Normal, Some Sea Ice Extent Above Average

It’s been very quiet on the climate change front… which is the normal modus operandi of global warming zealots when record cold, snow, and ice are reported in hundreds areas of the planet. Shhh… maybe no one will notice how cold it is…
But once spring fully hits, expect those global warming alarmists and junk-science messiahs to break out of their winter hibernations to start again the angry bellows for government cap-and-trade legislation and trying once again to launch their AGW hoaxes.

Temperatures have risen about 15C, and are now averaging a balmy -15C (5F) north of latitude 80N – with sunshine 24 hours a day. Under those conditions, you can get frostbite and a tan at the same time.
Read the entire piece… before Al Gore breaks out of his cave and tries to convince those who are not climate-change sheep that the melting ice is indicative of nefarious manmade global warming. And not because of normal springtime conditions.
The conditions in the Arctic region right now are NORMAL. In some areas, the sea ice extent is above average.

A few days ago, a young A&E doctor became the first British woman to ski/walk to the North Pole unsupported. Amelia Russell and her partner Dan Darley walked across the frigid ice and snow for 500 miles(775 km) to reach the North Pole earlier this week.

A London A&E doctor aims to walk more than 500 miles across snow and ice to become the first British woman to reach the geographic North Pole unsupported.
Amelia Russell, 27, would be the third woman to complete the feat.
She and partner Dan Darley, 33, hope to walk from Cape Discovery, in Canada, in 60 days carrying all their equipment, which will weigh 140kg.
Dr Russell said: “My main concern is if something happens to me I will have to tell Dan how to sew me up.” The couple, from Brixton, are raising money for charity Help for Heroes.

On their way to the Geographic North Pole Dan and Amelia are going to reward themselves with a pudding as a treat after each degree of latitude (60 nm, 110km). Amelia is only the third woman who is attempting a ski expedition to the North Pole without resupplies along the way.
