WOW – Latina Legal Immigrant Gabriella Lets City of Tucson Have It for Not Supporting AZ Law Against Illegal Immigration, She’s Ashamed of Rep. Grijalva’s AZ Boycott (video)

Utterly magnificent.
This beautiful, articulate American woman from Mexico embodies what is so wonderful about LEGAL immigration.
Gabriella is a legal immigrant and she ultimately did what was expected of her to become a full-fledged US citizen (I’m not sure if her last name is Sesito, Sesido, Sacido, Sucido, or Salcido — difficult to make out from the audio). She gives a brief bio on her life and then lets the City of Tucson have it square between the eyes for them not supporting Arizona’s SB1070, for them actually considering suing the state of Arizona.
She is ashamed and disgusted with Rep. Raúl Grijalva’s stirring the fires to not support the law and for trying to get companies to boycott Arizona, the state he was elected to represent. She makes the obvious observation that for any other crime committed, no matter the reason, she would be put in jail. Why is it any different for illegal immigration?
Why, indeed?
Loud applause followed Gabriella’s inspiring, common sense speech… brava, Gabriella, brava. Now, will the City Council actually listen?
I’d love for Gabriella to consider running for local political office… how amazing would that be? She’s got more on the ball and more brains than most of these political chowderheads. I got a real kick out of her holding up photocopies of the AZ illegal immigration bill, saying that she had brought copies for the City Council. Heh, heh… wonder how many of them have even read it? How glorious that she asks them to find in the bill where it says that racial profiling will occur. *Crickets chirping.*
Gabriella, if you should ever run for office, call me and we’ll do coffee and chat. I’d love to support you and I know plenty of other people who would, too.

My name as it shows in my social security card is Gabriela Saucedo Mercer, I go by Gabby Mercer.When I spoke at the mayor & council meeting I was advised not to use my full name becasue of the wackos out there since the meeting is televised….LOL now everybody knows who Gariella Salcido, Gabriella Sesito etc is…so much for trying to stay incognito! I have Fox News call me, Michael Savage, Glen Beck and others have played soundbites of my speech and many other local radio stations want to talk to me. One of them want to send me flowers! The YouTube video was another surprise for me….a friend recorded the M & C meeting and wihtout telling me he posted the video on my FB I thought, Oh my God! Any way the thing went viral, people were inspired and I will forever be thankful for all of you supporting me and posting comments in blogs I had no idead existed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
