Media Covering Up That Majority of Americans Support Arizona’s Illegal Immigration Law, More States Considering Adopting AZ Law

Arizona continues to be vilified in the press, but more and more Americans support SB1070 law, a crackdown on illegal immigration and a law that mirrors that of the federal government’s law… on the books, but largely ignored, for 70 years.
I’m even seeing bias here in Arizona on local evening newscasts. More often than not, these will feature “sad human interest” stories of illegal aliens packing up their belongings to go… not sure where. Maybe Los Angeles or San Francisco… they LOVE illegal aliens in California since they have such a robust economy over there and can easily afford to hand out more millions in welfare entitlements and have a surplus of jobs. *stifling laughter*
Anyway, these “sad” stories are often about illegal aliens having to leave behind their happy, illegal lives in Arizona because they fear being discovered by law enforcement (uh, that’s what the law is all about), say they fear being racially profiled (which SB1070 clearly prohibits), and all the sad inconveniences of uprooting their children, leaving their friends, and other “where is my violin?” testimonials. Rarely does the newscaster or interviewer point out that these people are in the country illegally — never do I see any other tug-at-the-heartstrings stories about other law-breakers, such as rapists or thieves or vandals or murderers, and how their poor choices to break state or federal laws have inconvenienced or impacted their families. Rarely do the news stories showcase the Mexican drug cartels or the mounting number of illegal-alien-related kidnappings in Phoenix.
Mind you, the state law doesn’t go into effect until the end of July. But if the illegal aliens are leaving earlier, they won’t be Arizona’s problem anymore.
A growing number of states, most recently Colorado, are considering adopting a law similar to that of Arizona’s to help curtail their escalating illegal immigration problems.

Yesterday the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press released a poll finding “Broad Approval For New Arizona Immigration Law.”
While Republicans were the most supportive, a full 45 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of independents polled supported the law. When broken down to the particulars of the bill, there was even broader support. For example, 65 percent of Democrats and and 73 percent of independents favored “requiring people to produce documents verifying legal status,” the portion of the bill that has been derided as allowing the police to demand, “your papers please!”
These poll numbers are absolutely astounding, especially considering the media’s non-stop campaign to denounce the law and paint it in an unfavorable light. Yet true to form, the media continue to downplay the results. A search this morning of the Web pages for the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today found no links to articles about the poll numbers.

Under a bombardment of condemnation, Arizona has taken action to address illegal immigration and is fighting back by telling Washington to “do your job.” Meanwhile, on Sunday President Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder said that the Justice Department was “considering” a federal lawsuit against Arizona’s new immigration law.
How did the immigration crisis occur? It happened because Washington didn’t do their job and secure the borders — and because under both Republican and Democratic leadership, the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), formerly the Immigration Naturalization Services (INS), ran amok.
If Americans want to see how broken and incompetent America’s immigration agency is, and get a glimpse of their future in the hands of bureaucrats, be it in healthcare or elsewhere as government takeovers persists, take a look at what legal immigration looks like. This could be your future at the mercy of big government.

The only thing I don’t understand about this new law is…
WHY WAIT UNTIL JULY TO ENFORCE IT!
I heard a guy on Brian and the Judge this morning say something I’d been thinking: If California wants to boycott us, why not just turn off their water? Or maybe we should just become our own nation and to hell with the other 49 states.
I”m afraid that last suggestion (which was tongue in cheek) is one we are going to hear more and more, from states all across this country. And not just about immigration, either but healthcare, cap-n-trade and all kinds of other stuff.
I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.
I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of this law, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, housing, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO!
Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.
“All men are created equal” is correct. And that is why America permits others to come here by established process and become citizens, regardless of their skin color. It does NOT permit them to enter and live here illegally.
As I’ve pointed out numerous times in other posts, this law against illegal immigration applies to those who enter not just from Mexico, but also Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and Africa. It applies to whites from other countries as well as non-whites. Entering the country legally safeguards the rights of American citizens, something that illegal alien supporters want to ignore. This law does NOT discriminate against those who are not white, but applies to those who are not citizens — illegal immigration supporters want to turn this into a racist issue, when in fact, it is not. In other countries, if you do not have a work permit, a passport, or some other form of approved documentation permitting you in the country, these countries will arrest you, often deporting you, after keeping you in prison. Some countries torture and execute illegal aliens, treating them as spies.
Have you read the Arizona law? Please point out where in that law it states anything racist, anything that permits racial profiling. I’ll wait while you look…

I am of Hispanic descent and the son of immigrants myself (though you don’t see me waving the Spanish flag at anti-American rallies), but, I am first an AMERICAN.
The fact remains the border must be sealed and this flood of Mexican “ILLEGAL ALIENS” – not “UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS” as the amnesty crowd would have it – pouring over our southern border stopped, and all those now here illegally DEPORTED (along with all their Mexican flags and Che T-shirts) back to their BELOVED Mexico MUY PRONTO. And no, its not RACISM, but that in the words of that much beloved (even by Mexicans), late,’Cuban Salsa Queen’ Celia Cruz : “NO HAY CAMA PA’ TANTA GENTE” (There’s not enough beds for so many people). So quit your race-baiting whining of “INDIOS RESENTIDOS.”
If instead of MEXICO it was GERMANY to our southern border, and a similar tsunami of millions of GERMAN ILLEGAL ALIENS was overrunning our country, overwhelming our public services, bankrupting our cities, taking away our jobs, lowering our standard of living, infecting us with crime, and transforming the very character of our nation into some kraut eating, polka dancing, gaudy parody of Germany, their presence here would be just AS ILLEGAL, as UNSUSTAINABLE, and, in my opinion, just as UNDESIRABLE…no matter how white, blonde, and blue-eyed they be.
Back in the sixties, Fidel Castro in Cuba, and other left-leaning governments – in Mexico, Venezuela, and all throughout Latin America, at the time – incited and goaded their people to demonstrate and march in front of American embassies to protest so called “American Imperialism” carrying anti-American signs and chanting: “YANKEES GO HOME.”
How ironic that it turns out what many of those individuals (and their descendants) that so virulently chanted “YANKEE GO HOME” really wanted, in their heart of hearts, was to “GO HOME WITH THE YANKEES”!
So now, in turn, I find it very appropriate to say: MEXICANS GO HOME!….and good riddance.
I have seen poll results recently, where the media makes it sound astonishing that most Americans do agree that Arizona has the Right to make its own laws. And opponents can only throw out speculation as to what the law may do… Its apparent that the Federal Government won’t enforce the law. And look where it has gotten us. When someone enters the country, knowing its illegal….why should we be sympathetic? They knew it was against the law. Let them follow the legal process or face the consequences. Its what citizens of the U.S.A are faced with when they break the law.
