I’m referring to Gov. Jan Brewer.
I’m so proud to be a citizen of Arizona — Gov. Brewer is reminding me of Xena the warrior princess often these days. Both are strong, intelligent, courageous women who fight for what is right and don’t take any crap from self-serving statists. Neither of them are whimpering lap dogs.
They’re sisters under the skin. Simply glorious…
Liberals and progressives living in Arizona, perhaps you should start packing up to move to California… join the growing exodus of illegal aliens.
I’ve already called Gov. Brewer’s office to commend and thank her for this latest stance of backbone and adherence to our Constitution. And a big, fat, noisy raspberry goes to Democrat state attorney general Terry Goddard for being a spineless statist wienie, for refusing to file against government-run health care and not honoring the wishes of the majority of Arizona voters. Terry, you’ve disappointed Arizona… not wise, sir, not wise.

From Phoenix’s KTAR radio website, Arizona joins suit against health care reform:
PHOENIX — Arizona has joined 19 other states in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of federal health care reform legislation.
Gov. Jan Brewer announced the state’s participation Friday.
“As I previously stated, by passing this onerous federal mandate, Congress has exceeded its authority and left the State of Arizona no option but to challenge its unconstitutional act in federal court,” Brewer said. “Health care regulation is a power reserved to the States by the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Congress has overreached by requiring individuals to purchase health insurance and penalizing them if they do not.”
Brewer’s spokesman, Paul Senseman, added, “America, unfortunately, is imposing mandates on the states that are unconstitutional.
“Just by what Congress and Washington has placed on Arizona alone will cost over $11 billion in new, unreimbursed costs to Arizona taxpayers… The hope is it will stop the implementation of this mandate, that it will go back to the drawing board and that a more consensus health care reform piece of legislation will come out of Congress.”
Arizona’s participation in the suit is expected to cost less than $5,000, Senseman said.
The amended suit, filed in federal court in Florida, now includes 20 states and the National Federation of Businesses as plaintiffs.
The original suit — against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Treasury and U.S. Department of Labor — was filed March 23, minutes after the health care reform act was signed into law. In addition to Arizona, the states of Indiana, North Dakota, Mississippi, Nevada, Georgia and Alaska joined the suit Friday.
Twenty states so far have joined the suit against the government for its disastrous health care nightmare that was forced down American’s throats by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and bribe-loving, Constitution-hating, weaselly members of Congress… twenty states is not yet a majority, but it is only six states away from it.
