You Don’t Speak for Me! Legal Mexican Immigrants Outraged Over Amnesty for Illegals, Standing Up Against Illegal Immigration (video)
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on May 18, 2010
Legal Mexican immigrants are disgusted and outraged that illegal immigrants are trying to get undeserved amnesty. They are also angry that illegal supporters claim that they represent the mindset of all Hispanics in their support of illegal aliens. WRONG.
Legal immigrants are angry because they DON’T support illegal immigration. They support LEGAL immigration.
More and more legal Mexican immigrants are rising up, demanding that amnesty not be granted to illegals, that our nation’s borders be secured, and that America’s immigration laws be enforced. An anti-illegal alien group of Hispanics, You Don’t Speak for Me!, while not getting much coverage by the left-wing media (just like the nation’s tea parties), is growing in leaps and bounds.
And to those living in California who are protesting and boycotting Arizona’s SB1070… start boycotting your own state. California has a remarkably similar law on illegal immigration, Section 834b of the California Penal Code… oops. Betcha didn’t know that… many California elected officials in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and in Congress apparently don’t, either.

Excellent information. While I am not Hispanic, my wife and her extended family are. Ergo my nickname Tio Tom. I respect your moderation efforts. On the sites I frequent and in some cases moderate, we do not have the luxury of censor. Some may feel to do so is a violation of free speech, and as we are constitutionalists one might question how we can avoid the claim of hypocrite. But as you have rightly pointed out. Your forum, your rules, and that in effect is in effect much like your choice of religion or not. I fully support you in this.
Thank you, Tom. As an American who embraces freedom of speech, the road runs both ways, which liberals often forget. Anyone can say or write what they want without fear of being arrested or suffer repercussions from the government (which is the intent of the 1st Amendment).
I, on the other hand, am free to accept or decline it for posting at this site since I pay the bills. You can say what you want, but that is not a free pass to have any vile thing be made public here. Just like I don’t permit profanity in my own home from guests. Just like a restaurant owner is free to throw out patrons who are disruptive to the other patrons or post a sign that says “No shirt, no shoes, no service.” Break the rules, and you’re out.
I am hispanic. And i dont stand with Illegal Aliens!!!
I say …… NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO . I Reject YOUR illegal entry into MY country
I’ve tried to find the Site ” you dont speak for me ” but cant find it . Can anyone suggest other sites that I can join and stand in unity with other like minded hispanics ?
sylvia,
this country was founded on immigrants, and im sure at some point of y0ur little crocked family tree someone came here illegally, and unless your i don’t know? uh NATIVE AMERICAN, even that is patronizing, you need to share “your” country which im sure that millions of illegal aliens help support,
and for you to be against something and having ignorant opinions instead of solutions
and facts to back up your little opinions and trying to find a little club to join
p.s. if you were against all illegal aliens it would be different but you are clearly a racist…do you say NO NO NO NO NO to illegal Canadians and Chinese illegal aliens?
they cross a damn ocean we just walk over
If you are registered to vote in Orange County, California, you can strike a blow for the Constitution next Tuesday (June 8th) by voting for Bill Hunt for the office of Sheriff. Bill’s “platform” is the Constitution. Bill will defend us against illegal immigration, but will also defend the rights of legal immigrants against discrimination.
Well said!
Immigrants like yourself are the only reason why I have pause, regarding Az law. Its nice to see americans of latin descent who understand, who see the big picture, see past their own ethnicity and do whats best for the american people. My heart felt respect and support to “legal” immigrants.
Outstanding! Legal immigration fights illegal immigration. What could be sweeter?
Illegals are the problem. Legals know the law and are speaking out. Thx for showing this. The news doesn’t show the truth with how most people feel about illegals. Thanks to Ariz. law, the light is finanlly being shown on the lies and corruption with immigration.
How can I join “You Don’t Speak for Me”, as an American of Cuban descent and veteran of the Iraq war I feel outraged at those that come through the backdoor of the line. Also, those that come in with legal visas as students , tourists or temporary workers and they get to stay indefenitely. It is shaameful that the Federal government has decided to look the other way and to have the politicians looking to take advantage of the situation by advocating amnisty in the hopes to get the illegals to eventually vote for them. Let the Federal government secure our border like they are mandated to and stop the out of control immigration. We are a country of immigrants, but we are also a country of laws. No the amnesty, and yes to secure our borders. Bravo for Arizona for having the courage to stand up to the stampede across the border.
