Paraphrase of Pres. Barack H. Obama’s May 2010 press conference on the British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico: “I’ve prioritized and been focused on the oil spill since Day 1.”
Yeah, right… is America’s “dummy sign” crooked?
Blowing off a memorial service honoring those who tragically died in the BP oil rig blast in the Gulf of Mexico to instead fly across the country to California to party-hearty at Sen. Babs “Ma’am” Boxer’s Democrat fundraiser says otherwise. It says, “Politics first. Always. Don’t forget, I won.”
And it wasn’t Obama’s first fundraiser event that he attended to shill for Boxer — check out this debacle from the Boxer event held in April, where disenchanted liberal gay activists heckled Ma’am Babs.
POTUS PRIORITIES fail again.
Does this self-serving man-child have even a wisp of a grasp of what it means to be President of the United States of America? He has never left “community organizer mode.”
From CNN Politics, President attended fundraiser during Gulf memorial service:
(CNN) – According his official schedule, President Obama did not attend the May 25 memorial service in Jackson, Mississippi for the workers who died in the Deepwater Horizon explosion because he was en route to a fundraiser for Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-California, in San Francisco.
At Thursday’s White House briefing, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked why Obama did not attend the service. The president’s spokesman answered, “I’d have to look at the schedule. I don’t know the answer.”
CNN examined the president’s schedule for that day, and according to it, the president left the White House at 2:55 p.m. EST en route to Andrews Air Force Base for the cross-country flight to the San Francisco fundraiser.
A Jackson source in possession of the memorial service program told CNN that the service began at 2:00 pm EST and lasted “more than an hour and a half” – putting the president in transit to the fundraiser during the second half of the memorial service.

White House Press Secretary Gibbs was asked why Obama didn’t go to the memorial on May 25th for the Oil Rig workers killed in the explosion.

He was on his way to a fundraiser for Sen. Barbara Boxer.

How can any President claim they care when they cannot even be bothered to go to a Memorial service for individuals who died during the initial Deepwater Horizon explosion? MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was correct as well, this is Obama’s Iranian hostage crisis not Hurricane Katrina … ”
