Black Panthers Voter Intimidation Case: Megyn Kelly KO’s Left-winger Kristin Powers, Rep. Brad “Smirky” Sherman in California Is Smirky & Clueless at Townhall (video)

New Black Panthers: Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, two men arrested in 2008 Philadelphia voter intimidation case, DOJ dropped case just as verdict was coming in: racial bias?
Need. More. Popcorn.
Megyn Kelly is simply magnificent in the video below with a left-wing correspondent. And Democrat Congressman Brad Sherman… he’s just smirky.
Geez Louise, this liberal fool comes across as cocky, clueless, and patronizing — all simultaneously — at a California town hall meeting held this week.
And smirky. Really, really smirky.
He’s now Smirky Sherman to me. Whether he does or doesn’t know about the DOJ/New Black Panther voter intimidation case isn’t really the issue. The SMIRKING is the issue, and it speaks volumes. Sherman makes no effort to find out about it or ask the voter for clarification. He doesn’t take her question seriously and treats her disrespectfully. Another example of an arrogant, SMIRKING elitist politician who has put himself above his district’s constituents, considers himself smarter and more informed than those he is supposed to serve (except on the Black Panthers voter intimidation case, natch), and openly mocks the people who elected him. What a weasel.
Yeah, Smirky — I’m talkin’ ’bout you, bub.
Check this out…
Correspondent Kristin Powers starts off in the dank basement of my respect when the first words out of her statist mouth are, “You can put me in the same category of people who don’t give a darn.” Huh? You DON’T GIVE A DARN ABOUT VOTER INTIMIDATION? Oops, poor way to open your interview, girl. And you’re being interviewed on national television by Megyn “Conservative Warrior Princess” Kelly, you idiot. Powers later tried to squirm out of what she said by saying she never said it.
Did so, liar.
Powers is just as clueless as Rep. Sherman (or just stupidly disingenuous). Yes, she was often talked over by Kelly, but who wouldn’t? This progressive hack couldn’t focus, couldn’t stay on topic, was jumping about like a spazzy Obama-bot marionette. Powers kept claiming there wasn’t a problem with the Black Panthers’ voter intimidation case because, HEY, there was an injunction against one of the Black Panthers.
But this shill conveniently leaves out/ignores that said injunction was DUMPED by the DOJ just as sentencing was about to commence. When asked to respond to that, Powers magically shifts gears and — SURPRISE, SURPRISE — brings up Bush. Typical diversionary straw man argument by a left-winger. Rather than respond or debate intelligently to the miscarriage of justice with voter intimidation that is hot right now, happening right now, Powers ignores the present, ignores the topic, and drags out her raggedy “Bash Bush” doll, vaguely citing in a whiny tone all the “discriminatory” actions of GW Bush.
Which ones, well… she’s not very specific on that. Had something to do with him choosing to hire conservatives in the DOJ (because Obama never hires liberals and Communists, right?), which has big-time diddly-squat to do with Kelly’s questions about the Black Panthers and the DOJ.
Crikey, Kristin, let’s compare apples to apples, and not apples to Yoko Ono CDs. You claim you lack any outrage about what is going on with the dismissal of the New Black Panthers case, the DOJ, and the blatant voter intimidation in Philadelphia because of “what happened with Bush.” Really? Put your money where your mouth is, statist. Cite just ONE case of voter intimidation in this country anywhere, anytime — of any American of any color — during the eight years of the Bush administration that bears even a whisper of a sliver of a resemblance to the DOJ’s racial discriminatory practices and inexplicable dismissal that this case has.
Just one. America’s waiting.
Love you, Megyn.
Here’s an encore of a May 2010 interview conducted by Bill O’Reilly with Bartle Bull, whom Megyn cited in the above video. Listen to what this “old school liberal” civil rights attorney had to say about this voter intimidation case.

Jim at Gateway Pundit applauds Kelly… Megyn Kelly Destroys Far Left Crank Kirstin Powers in Epic Black Panther Catfight (Video):
From what I’m hearing this was a catfight for the ages.
Megyn Kelly destroyed far left pundit Kirstin Powers on FOX News today discussing the New Black Panther scandal.
Ace was thoroughly impressed anyway.
Ace was impressed? Whoa, that happens next to never. Must check it out, then… here’s a snippet:
The 10 Minute fight between Megyn Kelly and Kirsten Powers on FNC may be the greatest ten minutes of television, ever.
I mean it.
…Not sure what the history is between them but there’s got to be some because Megyn just ripped into her from the get go. Either that or it’s the greatest set up for attention ever.
Echoes my thoughts on that as well. Rivalry, hate, disgust?
I think it’s fair to say Kirsten Powers was on the losing side of the argument . . . her initial position that the New Black Panther voting intimidation case didn’t involve intimidation was really not a strong way to lead off her analysis. And the interview quickly turned from from bad to worse for Ms. Powers.
Kirsten Powers essentially spoke out of both sides of her mouth and was all over the board in her analysis . . . is that a mixed metaphor? Lets just call it a split end . . . logic seems to have distanced itself from Ms. Powers in this interview . . . and oh . . . one more thing, Megyn Kelly is one of the sharpest News analysts out there – so the take away is . . . have your facts in order before you appear on her show.
From A TowDog’s Blog, I’m late to the Megyn Kelly/Kirsten Powers slap down, it seems:
Best part, I think anyway, is when Kirsten starts the “But Buuuuuushhhhh!!1!” meme up. Megyn’s eyes get that “Here we go with that crap?!” look, and the Final Protective Fire moment begins.
I heart Megyn Kelly. Awesome incarnate.
From RedState, Megyn Kelly Spanks Kirsten Powers:
…The injunctions were reduced or reversed by the direction of AG Holder and the case was put out to pasture. The people, seeking justice, come to their duly elected representative to ask questions and they are met with arrogance clothed in ignorance.
[...]
I believe they call that a smack down. Yes, I am sure of it.
Now, I wonder where anyone would have gotten the idea to do this sort of stuff.
I do hope that Mark Reed can raise enough money to make this issue stick to Brad Sherman.
And, please, fill me in here… since when do leftist politicians put RUSH LIMBAUGH links on their political websites?
Kinda daffy.
I found this strange link on Rep. “Smirky” Sherman’s website to a short transcript of some comments that El Rushbo made about Sherman back in March. I’m not sure why the congressman would want to publicize this thrashing, and I’m not sure how important it is in the whole scheme of all things socialist (not very), but Limbaugh’s take on Sherman wanting to not put Ronald Reagan’s face on the $50 bill cracks me up. It has nothing to do with the Black Panthers or Obama or the DOJ, but it made me laugh. So, here it is:
RUSH: The Democrats are really ticked off because a member of Congress wants to put Reagan’s face on a $50 bill. Now, get this. It is Representative Patrick McHenry who wants to put Reagan’s face on the $50 bill. Quick, Brian, whose face is on the $50 bill at present? Ulysses S. Grant. Now, this is important because there are Democrats who are opposing this. One of these Democrats is a real whack job, Brad Sherman from Sherman Oaks, California. Get this. You want to laugh? And Brad Sherman is on the House Financial Services Committee. He said, “There is no way. There’s absolutely no way. Our currency ought to be something that unites us.” Now, I want you to go down to Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and I want you to ask ‘em just what a unifying figure Ulysses S. Grant was. (laughing) He’s right above Sherman! Ha!
Reagan only won 44 and 49 states, twice. How much more unifying can you get, Congressman Sherman?

Ms. Powers is clueless. Good Lord, when is the left going to stop blaming Bush?
A la “Jeopardy!” style…
Answer: “The day after never.”
Question: “When is the left going to stop blaming Bush?”
When the right stops blaming Obama for everything. Remember Bush signed the TARP, but a poll is out saying 29% belive it was Obama.
I’m not giving EITHER one of them a free ride. But I also know that all the ills America is NOT one administrations fault. It started to downfall under Bush, and continues under Obama. BOTH administrations have things that worked and BOTH admins have some that don’t work. My question is , Where were you when the Bush admin grew government more than any prior to him, raised the debt and deficit more than any prior to him. Where was McConnel and Boehnor, Cantor, DeMint. They were in Congress then as well. At least Ken Buck has the guts to say, the GOP was just as much to blame as the Dem’s. BOTH sides need to stop blame and start working together. NEITEHR side can say their policies alone will work. Bush’s didn’t work, Obama’s is not working, NEW ideas (not extreme from either side) need to be brought in.
SMOKIN’ analysis (and post), Vicki!
This is the level of leftist apologists these days: They have no arguments, just talking points that can be demolished, and, more importantly, quickly seen for the lies they are. Constantly these days, the left is on the run or in hiding, or looking foolish when they do show up.
So the best Kristin (no)Powers can come up with is that Bush loaded the GAO with conservatives? um, I’m sorry, I was sorta thinking he might have been along the lines of conservative (at least at one time), so logic would follow that he would fill positions with folks who were of that mindset. If that bothers Ms. P, I guess it also bothers her just as much that Obamadrama has loaded up with progressives, Marxists, and assorted other Chicago thug types. Well, on that single point she and I agree…I think he ought to be using those Bush-types too! But on the rest of her tirade, she’s obviously been smoking some of that legalized medical hemp, because she’s sure not running on all cylinders! You go Megan!!!
“smoking some of that legalized medical hemp”
LOL!
LOL I love Megyn Kelly. She is so smart.
It’s shocking how quiet the mainstream media is about this issue. Not surprising, but shocking.
Who needs anything but state-approved news, right?
Beautiful and smart and armed to the teeth with the facts – Megyn rocks! Glad she’s on OUR side.

once again they send their self hating whites to discredit people. losing the argument, blame bush. this will be every self hating whites idea. boot lick minorities rights and to hell with all rights. this kind of jod will affect these self hating white liberals one day. sick!
It is a fact that the BUSH administration is the one who declined to prosecute the Black Panthers because of LACK of Evidence. I don’t like what happened just as much as the other, but unfortunately (and I know a little about the law being in the JAG corp of the military) the film DOES NOT actually show a voter not being able to vote. Unfortunately, people testifying that they saw others drive off is not admissable as they can’t 100% say why they actually drove off. It has been proven that this guy made threats against the POLLING people, but not to an actual voter. Is this guy gulty of a crime, yes, but unfortunately it can’t be proven for voter intimidation. He did threaten the polling volunteers, but again, no evidence against stopping anyone form voting. Stop trying to lay blame on the Obama administration for this. The Bush admin did NOT press the charges. He did however start a civil action against the Black Panthers and the Obama administration finished that up with a judgement against them. Look it up (I did before I posted). It is fact. It was NOT the Obama admin who didn’t push this, it was in fact the Bush administration. Again the guy needs to go to jail for something.
