Didn’t the Democrat party scream just a few weeks back that they believed South Carolina Senate hopeful (who’s also up against felony pornography charges) Alvin Greene was a GOP plant?
So why in the world is the NAACP, one of the leading supporters of the DNC, helping him with today’s rally in Manning, South Carolina?
Maybe they want to get in on those Alvin Greene action figures that, believe it or not, are now available… get ‘em while they’re hot, they’ll make great Christmas stocking stuffers.
Democrat Greene will be pitted against popular Republican conservative Sen. Jim DeMint in the November election.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, Alvin Greene, is getting ready for his first campaign rally.
Greene is scheduled to speak Sunday at the monthly meeting of the local NAACP branch in his hometown of Manning.
Greene has said he campaigned in the weeks leading up to his shocking June 8 primary win, when the unemployed Army veteran beat a longtime politician with the full backing of the Democratic party.
But he hasn’t said where he campaigned, and no one outside of his barber shop can recall Greene trying to woo voters.
Interest in Greene’s appearance has grown so much that the NAACP has moved the rally from a church to the local junior high gymnasium.

From FOX News, Greene Making Campaign Debut at NAACP Meeting in South Carolina:
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina’s surprising U.S. Senate candidate, Alvin Greene, is making his long-awaited campaign debut Sunday with an appearance at an NAACP meeting in his hometown of Manning.
Organizers have moved the location of the meeting twice — first to a larger church, then the local junior high school as the number of people expected to come swelled.
Greene hasn’t spoken publicly except for a series of meandering, awkward media interviews since his unexpected June 8 primary win over a former judge and state lawmaker who had the full backing of the Democratic party. He withstood a challenge to the election and calls he should step aside after his arrest on a felony charge of showing obscene Internet photos to a University of South Carolina student.
Greene has refused to talk about the case since his win. But he has spoken about other things, like wanting to help pull South Carolina from its economic doldrums by manufacturing and selling action figures based on his life and military career.
The Manning branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People said it invited Greene to speak so its members could get to know him better.

My guess is they hated the other Dem that was running so much in the primary that’s how this guy won.
