Clueless Democrat California Sen. Barbara Boxer... believes being a wealthy member of Congress is like being a soldier in the military
Sen. Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer has stepped in it again and insulted our military. Again. She’s trivialized the courageous men and women who have selflessly put themselves in harm’s way, many of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect America and freedoms around the world. Our heroes who keep the bad guys at bay.
This idiot statist Democrat senator from California has now announced that she believes being in Congress is just like serving in the military.
Because of all those deadly IEDs in DC threatening the lives of millionaire politicians, right, Babs?
How pathetic that she equates what our troops go through to what she and other politicians in DC go through. That the inane rolling of her eyes at Dem. Maxine Waters during some political meeting is ANYWHERE similar to the dangerous, frightening conditions our troops endure daily in the field, in the war zones where Islamic terrorists try to kill them daily. Yes, Ma’am Boxer meant it as a metaphor on commonality of experiences… but she FAILED.
What a freakin’ millionaire prima donna. Someone needs a healthy slap of reality…
From The Daily Caller, Senator Barbara Boxer: serving in the military is like being a member of Congress:
At a campaign event over the weekend in Inglewood, California, Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer seemingly equated being a politician to serving in the military –- and an Iraq War veteran supporting Boxer’s November opponent is calling on her to apologize.
“We know that if you have veterans in one place where they can befriend each other and talk to each other. You know when you’ve gone through similar things you need to share it. I don’t care whether you are a policeman or a fireman or a veteran or by chance a member of Congress,” the California senator said. “[Democratic Rep.] Maxine [Waters] and I could look at each other and roll our eyes. We know what we are up against. And it is hard for people who are not there to understand the pressure and the great things that go along with it and the tough things that go along with it.”
“Barbara Boxer’s disrespectful comments underscore just how out of touch she has become after her 28 years in Washington,” Veterans for Carly Coalition Co-Chairman Lt. Commander Paul Chabot said in a press release, in response to Boxer’s comments. “Equating the experiences of members of Congress with those of brave soldiers who have fought to defend our country is just the latest example in a failed career marked by disrespect for our men and women in uniform.”
Chabot added, “Barbara Boxer owes an immediate apology to all members of America’s armed forces.”
This is not the first time that Boxer has made comments or taken actions that were considered offensive to those serving in the military. Remember, for instance, Sen. Boxer’s over-the-top rebuke of an Army brigadier general last year when he referred to her as “ma’am” during a committee hearing?
“You know, do me a favor,” a visibly annoyed Boxer told the general testifying before her committee. “Could you say ‘senator’ instead of ‘ma’am’? It’s just a thing. I worked hard to get that title, so I’d appreciate it.”
Or remember when she was one of only 25 senators to vote against condemning Moveon.org’s 2007 borderline slanderous ad attacking Gen. David Petraeus? Under a headline that read “General Betray Us,” the full-page ad appeared in the New York Times and claimed that Petraeus was “cooking the books” on the Iraq surge.

California voters, are you paying attention? You need to vote this clueless, self-absorbed, liberal menace out in November.

My son spent a year living in a plywood box, suffering 120 degree temperatures inside a kevlar vest, rotating through the most luxurious hotel in Ramadi, Iraq, (click the 40 MB .wmv link in the article or visit this YouTube page for a look at some of the action) , getting shot at and mortared around the clock, eating food that bugs and mice walk all over, and this moronic member of congress thinks she is ANYTHING close to what these soldiers live with?

Well said, Marilyn. And thank you to your courageous son for giving so much to our country. My own son (age 17) is considering enlisting in the Marines after high school. Part of me is so proud, the other part of me, the “Mommy” part, is so selfish and worried… but I’d have the same concerns and worries for his safety if he went into politics in DC – right, Senator Boxer?
Babs is delusional. Too long in her ivory tower, methinks. This stupid pampered princess needs to be voted out.
