Barack Obama’s “Hole in One/Messiah” moment in Florida while putt-putt golfing with the family this weekend… it’s the real McCoy — not faked, not PhotoShopped. All miniature golf photos in Florida are attributed to Reuters.
A picture is worth a thousand words, heh.
With all the obsessed golfing this man-child does, why doesn’t he get a bloody hole in one for each hole while miniature golfing?

“Hey, Sasha! Remember what we told you, no eye contact with the press. We need to make this look as ‘natural’ as possible, like we’re a regular all-American, non-elitist family. Pretend it’s just us here, having a fun family day putt-putt golfing.”
“I’m not looking at the people with the cameras, Daddy. How’s this look?”
“Not bad, baby girl.”
“This photo should be perfect for the women’s magazines, Michelle… from the right angle, it will look like you and I are doing ‘the nasty’ out here in broad daylight. Joy Behar will love it!”
“I’m still not making eye contact with those reporters, Daddy.”
“Try loosening up a little, Sasha — you made a hole in one. Act like you’re having fun here. See how Mommy does it?”

Those vicious conservatives forced my lapdog press to report on it, like it was any of their jackass business, and even New York Times is dissing you. And I have to swim in the ocean to prove it’s safe for tourists, so it isn’t as easy being president as I make it seem.”
“OK, OK, you’re right. I’ll suffer through this, Barack. We’ll be leaving here soon for our next vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, anyway.”
“That’s my girl — and no, your butt doesn’t look all that fat…”
And to make things “perfectly clear” — it was reported that Pres. Obama swam with his daughter Sasha while on his last-minute, damage-control, barely 27-hour vacation in Florida. The media went wild over this father-daughter photo op, because it looked adorable and would prove that the Gulf of Mexico is now safe for swimmers, and that POTUS is fearless or compassionate or athletic or something.
Whatever.
Problem was, Obama wasn’t swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.
Oops.
Our geographically challenged White House screwed it up. Of course, no one in the “smartest regime ever” Obama administration knows how to consult an atlas or MapQuest. Team Obama was likely hoping that no one would notice, since one body of salty ocean water looks much like another body of salty ocean water… but what if Team Bush had released this eye-rolling mistake to the press? You know it would be on the news, blaming Bush, for at least a week.
Has MSNBC or CNN reported on this error yet, even ONCE?

President Barack Obama wanted to convince America that the Gulf of Mexico remains open for business. But perhaps he didn’t want the world to catch another glimpse of his hairless chest.
So when he and his daughter, Sasha, took a dip in the sea off Florida this weekend, only the White House photographer was allowed to capture proceedings.
The official picture was intended to provide evidence that the region’s beaches are back to normal. Yet it soon emerged that the private beach on which it was taken, off Alligator Point in St Andrew Bay, north-west Florida, isn’t technically in the gulf.
Cynics complained that the supposed family holiday was more of a whistle-stop press tour. Barack, Michelle and Sasha Obama, plus their dog, Bo, spent just 27 hours in the important swing state. The first family went on a boating trip yesterday that saw them catch a view of local porpoises. On Saturday, they played crazy golf and Sasha, 9, scored a hole-in-one off the first tee.

A couple of days ago, President Obama said that he’d take a dip in the Gulf of Mexico to prove to America that the water in the Gulf was safe for swimming in the wake of the oil leak. He also said that there would be no press allowed in the area for his swim because the last time he took his shirt off with reporters around he ended up on a magazine cover that now doubles as wallpaper in Chris Matthews’ dressing room.
But maybe the White House didn’t want any press photographers around because the wrong angle would give away the fact that Obama wasn’t in the Gulf at all.
According to the White House website, Obama swam off Alligator Point, which is not in the Gulf, but rather in Saint Andrews Bay.
If Glenn Beck said he swam in the Gulf but was actually in the Bay, it would be splashed all over Media Matters by now. A good portion of the media didn’t care to do as much geographic parsing as they no doubt would have if they were writing about Bush:

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Catching a glimpse of porpoises, President Barack Obama and his family went boating Sunday as part of a weekend trip to the Gulf of Mexico that was designed to showcase the region’s attractions as well as the president’s concern for those affected by the BP oil spill.
Joining Obama aboard the 50-foot Bay Point Lady on a rainy, overcast morning were first lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha. The parents’ other daughter, Malia, is at summer camp. The vacationing threesome leaned over the boat to see the porpoises as the boat cruised the calm waters of St. Andrews Bay near their Panama City Beach hotel.
The outing came as the first family moved toward wrapping up its 27-hour trip to the Florida Panhandle. The Obamas were expected to return to Washington by Sunday evening.
The White House scheduled the trip after facing criticism that Obama wasn’t heeding his own advice that Americans vacation in the Gulf. He vacationed in North Carolina this spring, Maine earlier this summer, and will head to Martha’s Vineyard, off the Massachusetts coast, later in August. Mrs. Obama also traveled to Spain this month with Sasha.
Although only 16 of the 180 beaches in the western part of the Florida Panhandle were affected by the spill, tourism officials say many potential visitors have stayed away, deterred by images of oil-slicked waters and tarball-strewn beaches in other parts of the region.
On Saturday, Obama took Sasha for a swim in St. Andrews Bay, a signal to other would-be Gulf vacationers that the water and the beaches are fine.
“Beaches all along the Gulf Coast are clean, they are safe, and they are open for business,” Obama said.
The president’s dip took place away from the news media. The White House released an official photo, but The Associated Press does not publish such handout images. According to the White House, the Obamas swam off Alligator Point, which is in Saint Andrews Bay, not the Gulf.

While I can’t stand POTUS, FLOTUS, and let’s throw in TOTUS too, I feel so sorry for Sasha being put out there for the photo op. How would anyone be able to have any fun with the photogs & boom mikes hovering? But come on, *not* in the Gulf? Anyone without a (D) behind their name wouldn’t be able to get away with the deception.
Hopefully the children will mature beyond their parent’s present degree of wisdom, and realize at some point in their life that Barry and Michelle were misguided to say the least.
