Fundraiser-A-Rama! Obama Responsible for Gridlocking Traffic in Los Angeles for Hours During Rush Hour… LA Citizens Torqued & Want Apology

From WhiteHouse.gov Flickr page: VP 'Crazy Joe' Biden and Barack Obama... a picture is worth a thousand words
I was born and lived in Los Angeles County until my family moved to Arizona when I was a teen. Southern Californians are, for the most part, accustomed to frequent traffic jams and rush hour traffic (an oxymoron, if I ever heard one), and will amicably roll with the flow of living and driving in the heavily populated City of Angels.
Unless it’s something like this. The ever-lovin’, grand tamale of all LA traffic jams in recent history.
Democrats, Republicans, Independents… doesn’t seem to matter which political party affiliation was stuck in this mess because most of LA is outraged and plenty PO’d at Pres. Barack “Watch Me Swim in the Gulf, Except It’s NOT the Gulf” Obama for incapacitating, without warning and without traffic control aid, the LA metro area for hours.
All for a Democrat fundraiser with elitist Hollywood-ites and liberal millionaires. And no one thought to have him use a helicopter, for crikey sake.
We most definitely want this self-absorbed man-child and his “Chicago O” team to also be in charge of the nation’s health care system and to have Obama’s power-hungry hand poised over the “off” switch of America’s Internet.

From Hunter Walker, TV Hunter, President Obama Owes Los Angeles a Big Apology:
I am coming to you live from the center of the worst traffic jam I have ever seen in my life. I’ve been trapped here for over three hours because President Obama and a group of Hollywood insiders are having a fancy fundraiser.
Someone apparently decided that Obama’s $30,000-a-plate dinner at the house of “West Wing” producer John Wells necessitated shutting down most of the major east-west through streets in Los Angeles.
As of this writing, they are saying that large stretches of Olympic Boulevard will be shut until 9 p.m. I have also seen indications on the road and on the radio that huge portions of Pico and Santa Monica boulevards are also closed.
Those of you who are familiar with Los Angeles know that closing these three streets mean the entire city will be gridlocked. On LaPeer and Olympic, I was literally barricaded in on a small, residential block for over an hour with at least 50 people.
I can’t imagine how many hundreds of others must be stuck in other areas of the city. I also can’t imagine how many medical emergencies and accidents have been exacerbated by the gridlock.
If the President was unable to get to John Wells’ house without causing this level of disruption, then perhaps he should have done his fundraising somewhere else — like somewhere accessible by helicopter. Going through this gridlock is extra-painful because I know it is due to partisan fundraising rather than state business.
I don’t know who specifically was responsible for the mess — LADOT, the LAPD or the Secret Service, but I know that it was inexcusable.
From Gateway Pundit, Woah! LA OUTRAGED After Obama Fundraiser Shuts Down Traffic For Hours:
Obama traveled to Los Angeles last night for a fundraiser at the home of a wealthy Hollywood producer and managed to pi$$ off the entire city after locking up traffic for hours. JSF at Valley of the Shadow was one of the Angelenos stuck for hours on the road without warning.
From KNX1070 News Radio, Obama Leaves LA After $1M Fundraising Visit:
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― President Barack Obama left Los Angeles Tuesday morning, bound for Seattle, the next stop on a five-state trip, primarily for fundraising.
In his only public appearance during 17 1/2 hours in Southern California, Obama used a $1 million Hancock Park fundraiser Monday night to remind donors about his successes in the midst of criticism from both ends of the political spectrum.
“We have been able to deliver the most progressive legislative agenda — one that helps working families — not just in one generation, maybe two, maybe three,” Obama said.
From Los Angeles Times, President Obama’s visit snarls traffic on L.A.’s Westside:
Navigating rush-hour traffic on Los Angeles’ Westside, which is never an easy task, was even worse in some areas Monday evening as streets were blocked off because of a visit by President Obama.
Obama arrived in Los Angeles for a fundraiser at the home of “ER” and “The West Wing” executive producer John Wells and his wife, Marilyn.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, also are expected to attend.
The Los Angeles Police Department said it had received a number of calls from people about the traffic but had not been given information on street closures from the Secret Service.
On Twitter, motorists reported that traffic was at a standstill in Hollywood and the Miracle Mile. Others reported that Olympic Boulevard was closed in Beverly Hills.
Here’s a handful of random comments, out of hundreds, left by readers at the LA Times. While a few commenters happily, blindly supported Obama and called those who complained “whiners,” the vast majority sounded like THIS… it takes special talent for BHO to so swiftly alienate a liberal, predominantly blue county like Los Angeles:
From LA Times, L.A. fuming over Obama traffic, demands investigation:
Residents reported that commutes and errands that typically took minutes turned into hours-long ordeals. One particular complaint was that streets remained blocked for hours — even when Obama was inside TV producer John Wells’ Hancock Park home at a fund-raiser.
“What has occurred is way beyond reasonable and can only be described as negligent,” L.A. resident Kevin McCarthy said in an e-mail to The Times. “If it isn’t my story, currently evolving, of beginning my 1 mile journey home at 5pm and at 7:50pm now being 3 miles from home with no viable idea of how to get closer, it should be about the two sirens-wailing ambulances I have witnessed stuck in this unnecessary gridlock.”
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported no delays for emergency vehicles. But the LAPD heard an earful from angry motorists.
Me2_l7b3nincOne man, who did not want to give his name, said it had taken his wife four hours to drive home from Brentwood. Another man trying to walk west on 6th Street to his office shouted at the officers blocking his way and told them he wished he had voted for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Obama’s opponent in the 2008 presidential race.
Carlos Garcia, a 25-year-old waiter from the Miracle Mile, had the misfortune of setting out on a run about the time the area went on lockdown. He had planned on a four-mile run, but it turned into 5.5 miles as he tried unsuccessfully to get back home, ultimately waiting 25 minutes at a yellow-police-tape barrier.
“They waved me through, but then they stopped me coming back,” he said. “I can’t believe they did it during rush hour on a Monday.”
From Hot Air, Dumb but fun: L.A. freaks out over monster traffic jam caused by Obama’s motorcade:
Alternate headline: “Obama inventing entirely new ways to alienate Americans.”
'We need to wrap this swim up, baby girl... Daddy needs to go to Los Angeles to make money for the Democrats and to really screw up the traffic in California.'
'Daddy, you're so cool!'
'Yes, baby girl, you're right about that.'

“Obama lost my vote tonight after I spent two hours….” WTF? Have you been asleep for the last year and a half? You only get worked up when you get inconvenienced by traffic? You voted for him. You owe the rest of our country an apology. Then you should just be quiet and let the adults take over.
LOL – thank you for echoing my thoughts on some of these comments. Traffic control incompetence is nothing compared to the rest of the progressive-socialist nightmares and screw-ups BHO has inflicted on this nation. But for some, it has to impact them squarely in their own lives.
For some clueless libs in California, this would be sitting in a monstrous traffic jam – not the worst recession in decades, not the trillion-dollar deficit, not rabid government takeovers, not record unemployment, not the ramrodding of ObamaCare, not the dismantling of the Constitution. But, hey, whatever wakes them up – FINALLY – is GOOD. As long as it translates at the election polls.
