“Follow the Money”: FBI First-Responder to 9/11 WTC Ground Zero, Michael Grimm, NY Candidate for the Senate, Wants to Know About Mosque Funding & Wants Pelosi to Resign (video)

Michael Grimm does not want the “Victory Mosque” built at the Ground Zero site for many reasons.
In this discussion panel, the New York congressional candidate and a former FBI first-responder to the September 11 attacks, Grimm explains why the government must investigate where the proposed mega mosque in New York City is getting its funding.
“Follow the money.”
Excellent questions asked and points made, Mr. Grimm… not questions that the Democrat party necessarily want asked nor answered. Right, Nancy Pelosi?
Following Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s remarks this week that those who oppose the building of the $100 million Ground Zero mega mosque should be investigated, Grimm slammed back:
Michael Grimm today called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to resign after she called for an investigation of those who oppose the recently proposed Muslim Mosque near “Ground Zero” in New York City.
“As someone who has fought on the battlefield to protect the liberty and freedoms we hold dear as a country, the fact that Speaker Pelosi would call for an investigation of those who disagree with her is unconscionable,” said Grimm. “Her comments clearly demonstrate that she does not have the temperament to lead the House of Representatives.”
Grimm has been an outspoken opponent of the proposed Mosque calling for Congress to investigate the funding sources and asking New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to reconsider his support.
Grimm also called on his opponent in November’s Congressional election, Mike McMahon, to join him in calling for her removal.
“Mike McMahon voted for her has Speaker. He now has an obligation to join me in calling for her resignation based on these comments,” said Grimm.

As a candidate for Congress in New York’s 13th Congressional District, I have been meeting with many residents of Staten Island and Brooklyn and hearing their thoughts about the issues that face our city and country. While jobs, taxes and the economy are among the top concerns voiced by our friends and neighbors, the proposal by the Cordoba Institute to build a mosque and Islamic community center near the site of Ground Zero permeates nearly every conversation I have with voters.
Today, I am writing to ask you to reconsider your position in support of the construction of this mosque. The communities of Staten Island and Brooklyn that I am seeking to represent experienced among the highest per-capita losses of life on 9/11. As a former FBI agent, I was alongside other first-responders at the Ground Zero site in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks. I saw the direct consequences of Islamic terrorism. As you can imagine the proposal is of special concern to me and my community.
It is difficult to imagine that the backers of this project did not understand the emotional trauma this project will cause to all New Yorkers who lived through that day or suffered losses in their lives. Of all the locations in the City of New York, why was this site chosen? Clearly there is an agenda behind this effort.
People who oppose this plan cannot be blindly described as racists or anti-Muslim bigots.
As a United States Marine during Operation Desert Storm I had the privilege to wear our country’s uniform as we defended Saudi Arabia and then liberated Kuwait, both Muslim nations, from the aggression of their Iraqi neighbors. I would not hesitate to again wear my country’s uniform in defense of our Constitutional freedoms. I am grateful we live in a country that allows us to practice our chosen religion freely. But there is also a clear difference between “rights” and doing “what’s right.”
While I respect your opinion, I must take a stand for the people of Staten Island and Brooklyn. And for that reason I will continue to speak-out and do everything in my power to ensure this project does not go forward. I ask you to please reconsider your position and at the very least respect the position of those who are opposed.

The outspoken, conservative Grimm has a law degree as well as an impressive record of serving his country (US Marines, US Marshal, FBI, undercover agent), is a successful small business owner, and is running for New York’s 13th congressional district as “The People’s Candidate.” Grimm has the support and endorsement of Sarah Palin and others.
So far, he’s proving he’s a loyal American, a loyal New Yorker, and is nobody’s fool. He understands the pain and anguish that the mosque is causing for millions of people — something that liberal politicians don’t get — and he isn’t afraid to speak out against the mosque’s insensitive chosen location.
Must say, I’m impressed and will be keeping an eye on this man. We could use more like him and fewer like the “Pelosi weasels” in Congress.
