I’m a subscriber to the Democrat party’s emails/propaganda letters to voters — all informed conservatives should be. The best way to win any contest, to win any battle, is to know your opponent.

This week’s DNC email started off like this…

“Fire Pelosi.”

WOW.

For once, I wholeheartedly agree with the DNC… but, it’s a bizarre way to begin a Team Obama newsletter. It continues…

That’s what’s written on the bright red sign that Republicans have had hanging from their national headquarters for the past four months. It’s above the door — and there’s a smaller one in nearly every window.

It’s designed to be provocative, but that’s beside the point. It’s not a gimmick. This is the exact message that Republicans are hoping to win with this fall: Roll back all the progress we’ve made and remove the leaders who helped shape it.

I’m both captivated and repulsed. Simultaneously. What blithering moron wrote this pro-Democrat email? Does no one at the DNC pay attention to the national polls? Pelosi’s approval rating with American voters (unfavorable at 59%) has fallen tremendously in the last few months. A majority of Americans, including a growing number of Democrat voters, want her outta there. Painting her like she’s America’s sweetheart is hilarious. And woefully misguided.

The idea of “Fire Pelosi” signs plastered all over the RNC building is utterly delicious. And is scaring the designer pants off the Democrats.

It continues…

At this point, obstruction is the only leg the Republican Party has left to stand on. No ideas or positive messages — just attack and tear down.

We have a different message: Keep moving America forward. Democrats are fighting to protect the progress we’ve made — from historic health insurance reform to the strongest consumer protections ever enacted — and we’re working to undo the damage inflicted on our economy by a decade of irresponsible Bush-era policies and negligent enforcement.

Those policies and ideas that Obama has refused to review, has chosen to ignore? Those policies that under Bush were responsible for only 5.27 percent unemployment compared to Obama’s 9.41 percent, with double-digit unemployment in a number of states and major cities, millions more jobs under Bush than we now have under Barack Obama? Those policies that didn’t have steroid-driven government spending on a fast track to disaster and trillion-dollar debt? THOSE policies?

That’s why I hope they leave the sign up: Because the more Republicans continue to put their negative, obstructionist tactics on display like this, the clearer the distinction is between the two choices voters have this fall.

It gets better… I clicked the donation button on the DNC site, and this was the new message:

Fire Pelosi?

Again with firing Pelosi… nothing like reinforcing a message, although it is not the message one would think that the Democrats would want to hammer home. About now, most intelligent Americans are nodding their heads in agreement upon reading the opening question. This is, after all, the statist woman who wants those people — millions of Americans — who oppose the building of the Ground Zero mega mosque to be investigated.

The email continues…

Republicans have draped their national headquarters with “Fire Pelosi” signs — proving once again that their only plan for the country is to repeal the historic progress we’ve made, and remove the leaders who helped shape it.

False conclusion and weak straw man argument. Firing Pelosi is not the “only” plan of conservatives, tea partiers, and the GOP. It’s a sliver of it, and it represents the Republicans taking over control of the House. Which, if accomplished, removes Nancy “I Love Abortion” Pelosi from her Speaker of the House position. The Dems claim erroneously that, by the Republicans posting “Fire Pelosi” signs, it “proves” that their only plan is to repeal the “historic progress” (translation: dismantling of the Constitution, destroying the economy, expanding government, oppressive mandated health care). They’re hoping that the readers of the email haven’t been paying attention for the past 19 months.

The Democrats want us to believe that if your baseball team is dead last in the league and you want the manager fired and a number of players traded out, then you don’t appreciate the sheer brilliance of the team’s current massive losses. Which are all blamed on the previous manager and players from nearly two years ago — and who won a boatload of games.

Conclusion… with the obligatory “beg for bucks.”

We have a different plan — protect reform and continue moving the country forward. And we’re going to make sure voters know exactly what Republicans’ plans would mean for the country: They would take us backward to the failed policies of the past.

We’ll work to make the choice voters have as clear as possible by spreading the facts this election season — but we need your help to do it.

The nation is NOT moving forward, it’s moving backward to the failed economic policies of FDR. The socialist-progressive agenda has never worked in any society that has tried it, and not only is it crashing in Europe, but a number of nations are launching a move to free market principles and smaller government. It may be too late for Greece.

The Republican National Committee launched FireNancyPelosi.com immediately upon the passage of the health care bill by House Democrats. It has been a flaming success raising far more money than they even expected within hours of putting up the site.

Todd Herman, Director of New Media says:

With barely any advance advertising (ads only went up late Monday morning), these digital patriots adopted the #FirePelosi hashtag. http://www.newds.biz, which tracks conservative-leaning tweets, had “Fire Pelosi” at the top of their rankings within hours. Over 150 people per-hour were using GOP.com’s Tweet-Bomb to announce their donations and, to get the Fire Pelosi banner on the Twitter avatars. On Monday morning, “Fire Pelosi” was on Google Trends, and hours later, RNC and GOP had become ranked fourth and fifth on the same list. Embeddable widgets provided on the site were quickly posted on pages all over the internet, and less than 12 hours after Pelosi passed her disastrous bill , the RNC blew past its fundraising goal of $402,010. (We’ve since set a new goal at http://www.FireNancyPelosi.com.) Monday at 8:00, we were closing in on our second fundraising goal of $842,010.

This is a tremendous success, and full credit is owed to the new wave of online Republican activists. They who turned this campaign to remove the gavel from Nancy Pelosi’s hand into something special, and this November, they will see it through to its end. The Republican National Committee is proud to stand with these patriots.

They are only a few thousand away from raising one million dollars in 48 hours. Amazing, really. And heartening.

Want to give credit where credit is due. This is an excellent effort by the organization. Now, hopefully, the money will go to conservative candidates who will undo the mess Pelosi made.

I agree with the DNC email on one point… keep those “Fire Pelosi” signs up.
