Sarah Palin's 'miracle on ice' tweet prediction last week about conservative Joe Miller
Score another one for the grassroots tea party movement and former Gov. Sarah Palin, who still has the “golden girl touch” for political endorsements… the count is in for conservative Joe Miller.
November is coming.
Senator Lisa Murkowski Concedes Race in Alaska, Joe Miller Wins GOP Primary

Big Government announced earlier that the trend in the count of absentee ballots makes it virtually impossible that Sen. Murkowski would overtake Joe Miller in the GOP Senate Primary.
Swing State Project announced last hour that Senator Murkowsky was holding a press conference.
9:41pm: Murkowski will hold a press conference in twenty minutes.
9:40pm: Being generous, let’s say there are 7000 valid GOP votes left to be counted. Murkowski would need 61% of them to win. She’s done.

ANCHORAGE — Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska conceded late Tuesday in her Republican primary race to Joe Miller, a lawyer from Fairbanks backed by Tea Party activists, Sarah Palin and other conservatives.
Mr. Miller shocked the political establishment here and in Washington last week when he emerged with a narrow lead, 1,668 votes, after the primary vote, on Aug. 24.
Mr. Miller, who had trailed badly in local polls in the weeks before the election, benefited from a last-minute flood of advertisements, mailings and automated calls casting Ms. Murkowski as a Democrat in disguise. An abortion-related ballot measure also brought conservatives to the polls.

The Anchorage Daily News isn’t quite ready to call it, but after the latest round of absentee counting, Murkowski’s chances are on life support.
It’s looking bad for Lisa Murkowski…
The Murkowski campaign was really counting on a big boost from Southeast.
That didn’t happen. The latest batch was a count of 2,760 votes. It brings the total counted today to about 15,700 votes. Still awaiting some more Kenai absentee votes and that will be all that is counted today…
Today was the biggest chunk of votes. Murkowski has cut Miller’s lead from 1,668 votes to 1,469 today. That’s not nearly what the Murkowski campaign had hoped for.
A question while the celebration’s momentarily on hold: Will Miller’s win embolden Delaware tea partiers to try to knock off Mike Castle in the primary? Because that will have grave consequences in a state that blue.

Entrenched GOP incumbent Bob Bennett of Utah — ousted in May by a grass-roots revolt against big government Republicanism — has company. Voters have retired liberal GOP incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. She is reportedly conceding tonight to upstart Joe Miller. It’s a big win for the Tea Party — and Sarah Palin.
