Muslims in Pakistan riot because of Florida pastor's plan to burn Qurans on ninth anniversary of 9/11 attacks by radical Muslims

Not only are the tortures, beheadings, honor killings, and other atrocities committed by countless sharia-law-loving Muslim men against Muslim women not being mentioned in the mainstream media, but in light of Rev. Terry Jones’ highly publicized on-off-on-again scheduled Quran burning tomorrow in Florida, the press is strangely silent about previous Bible burnings and threats against Christians and other religions by radical Muslims.

Condemnation in the press of the Christian pastor is a no-brainer: Rev. Jones won’t threaten to cut reporters’ or critics’ heads off — no worries of savage, bloodthirsty fatwa.

Condemnation in the press of radical Muslims: no such guarantee.

After defeating their rivals in Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement, Muslim extremists are focusing their attacks on Christians in Gaza City. Christians in Gaza City have issued an appeal to the international community and a plea for protection against the increased attacks by Muslim extremists.

Father Manuel Musallem, head of Gaza’s Latin church, told the AP that Muslims have ransacked, burned and looted a school and convent that are part of the Gaza Strip’s small Romany Catholic community. He told the AP that crosses were broken, damage was done to a statue of Jesus, and at the Rosary Sister School and nearby convent, prayer books were burned.

Gunmen used the roof of the school during the fighting, and the convent was “desecrated,” Mussalem told the AP.

“Nothing happens by mistake these days,” he said.

Father Musalam additionally told The Jerusalem Post that the Muslim gunmen used rocket-propeled grenades (RPGs) to blow through the doors of the church and school, before burning Bibles and destroying every cross they could get their hands on.

Catholic Online reports that the heads of Christian churches in the Holy Land have urged both sides to put aside their weapons, noting that the infighting diverted international attention from the national goal of Palestinian independence.

“This domestic fighting where brother draws his weapon against brother is detrimental to all the aspirations of achieving security and stability for the Palestinian people,” they said. “In the name of the one and only God as well as in the name of each devastated Palestinian, many of whom are still dying, we urge our brothers in the Fatah and Hamas movements to listen to the voice of reason, truth and wisdom.”

One young woman told the Catholic News Service that she was concerned the Islamic extremists would “enforce a strict dress code, forcing women to wear veils and robes.” One Christian teenager spoke to the Catholic News Service on the condition that her name not be used. She said the days of fighting had been “very difficult” but they were “OK now.”

Eye-opener from Planck’s Constant, Muslims Burn Bibles Routinely and Often:

…Almost all Muslim countries forbid the building of new churches. We have permitted them to build thousands of new mosques here in the US; however that hasn’t and won’t change a damn thing over there.

Almost all Muslim countries forbid Muslims from converting to another religion. Thousands of non-Muslims are allowed to convert to Islam here in the US; however that hasn’t and won’t change a damn thing over there.

Christians and Jews are asked, “How would you like it if Muslims burned the Bible?” Well, here’s the problem: we haven’t burned any Qurans for hundreds of years. But in that same period Muslims have burned millions of bibles. They still do it every day.

The truth is, it happens every day somewhere in the world. Do you know why we don’t hear of it here? Two reasons:

1. The Liberal Media does not like reporting anything critical of Islam (recall the cowardice of our newspapers in not publishing the Danish Cartoons)

2. If our newspapers had to print barbaric acts committed by Muslims on a daily basis there would be no room to print the local news.

For centuries the US has been nicey-nice to these vicious animals. When is the Golden Rule going to kick in? When are we going to get treated as we have treated them?

Muslims don’t burn Bibles? That’s funny. That’s just another Muslim myth.

In a related matter, the real irony is that on 9/11 the Islamic Center of Northeast Florida will be distributing free Qurans as a way to educate others about their religion. You may know that doing the same with bibles in almost all Muslim countries will get you arrested, tortured, or killed.

Food for thought: There has been more media coverage of angry, violent Muslim condemnation this past week over a few books MAYBE being burned by Rev. Jones than I’ve heard or read of the Muslim community, here or abroad, decrying the 9/11 attacks by Islamic radicals. Over a nine-year period. Odd, huh? Additionally, many of the “Death to America” protests are coming from Pakistan Muslims… who have also slammed our nation for not giving them more money to combat the floods there. Even though, the US has given more than all other nations, many Pakistanis blame America for their woes.

Reported in December 2008, Spero News, Muslims burn Bible in Pakistan:

Desecration at the church of St. Paul in the village ‘Chak 77-RB’, ‘Lohekay’, about 30 kilometers from Faisalabad: on December 17, suspects burned a bible and other sacred texts, leaving a letter threatening Christians that they will “burn in the fire of hell” if they do not convert to Islam.

Pervez Masih tells AsiaNews that on that day, he and others were whitewashing and decorating the little church for Christmas. They stopped at noon for lunch, leaving the church open. When they returned, they found the bible and other sacred texts reduced to ashes, and a handwritten letter telling them to convert to Islam if they wanted to “live in peace” and avoid hell. In Pakistan, there is significant controversy over the law on blasphemy, condemning even to death those who offend the sacred book of Islam, the Qur’an. But nothing is done against blasphemous acts toward the books of other religions.

Angry Muslims in Afghanistan burned an American flag while chanting “Death to Christians” in a September 9 protest against plans by an evanglical preacher in Gainsville, Florida, to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Religious and political leaders in the United States and in the Muslim world have asked the church to call off the plan while warning it would lead to violence against Americans.

Iraq, which has a small Christian minority that has come under attack by Muslim jihadis, has now increased security near churches. In central Baghdad, security was increased around the Church of the Virgin Mary, with military vehicles blocking the entrance to the church and Iraqi soldiers standing guard. At two other churches in the capital, police cars were parked outside and armed officers were deployed. An Anglican church was also threatened.

The Rev. Terry Jones, of the Dove Outreach Center in Florida, has vowed to go ahead with the bonfire on September 11, even though he has been denied the required permit. However, reports suggest that he may be open to an appeal from President Barack Obama or the Department of State.

A Muslim cleric in the province of Balkh province that if the burning goes ahead, a protest will be held in the provincial capital Mazar-i-Sharif on September 13. It is feared that protesters may use the occasion to assault NATO-led troops stationed in the city — a main center of Islamic teaching.

In Pakistani, about 200 protesters marched in Multan and also burned an American flag. “If Quran is burned it would be beginning of destruction of America,” read one banner while protesters chanted “Down with America!”

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Koran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?

[Art] and graphics have an uncanny way of vitiating the Muslim world’s atmosphere. In 1994, Muslims threatened German supermodel Claudia Schiffer with death after she wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran.

In 1997, outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company’s “Air” logo looked like the Arabic script for “Allah.” In 1998, another conflagration spread over Unilever’s ice cream logo — which Muslims claimed looked like “Allah” if read upside-down and backward (can’t recall what they said it resembled if you viewed it with 3D glasses).

In 2005, British Muslims got all hot and bothered over a Burger King ice cream cone container whose swirly-texted label resembled, you guessed it, the Arabic script for “Allah.” The restaurant chain yanked the product in a panic and prostrated itself before the Muslim world. But the fast-food dessert had already become a handy radical Islamic recruiting tool. Rashad Akhtar, a young British Muslim, told Harper’s Magazine how the ice cream caper had inspired him: “Even though it means nothing to some people and may mean nothing to some Muslims in this country, this is my jihad. I’m not going to rest until I find the person who is responsible. I’m going to bring this country down.”

In 2007, Muslims combusted again in Sudan after an infidel elementary school teacher innocently named a classroom teddy bear “Mohammed.” Protesters chanted, “Kill her, kill her by firing squad!” and “No tolerance — execution!” She was arrested, jailed and faced 40 lashes for blasphemy before being freed after eight days. Not wanting to cause further inflammation, the teacher rushed to apologize: “I have great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone, and I am sorry if I caused any distress.”

On several occasions, university authorities in Belgium have cancelled permission for lectures and debates expected to be critical of Islam. A Brussels weekly published a cover story titled “Will the Belgium of Our Children Be Islamic?” that was filled with sober references to human rights violations against Christians in Turkey and Egypt, plus an excerpt from a speech by a Belgium-based imam: “Soon we will take power in this country. Those who criticize us now, will regret it. They will have to serve us. Prepare, for the hour is near.” In response, the Belgian Human Rights League filed a suit on the basis of the anti-racism law—and not against the imam but against the journalist! The palace contacted the editor to protest the issue’s cover, which showed King Albert II wearing an Arab head dress. The editor had the posters advertising the issue removed and soon after the editor himself was sacked.

Pressure is sometimes applied in private. A well-known Belgian psychologist, Herman Somers, published a book, A Different Muhammad, that contains a detailed analysis of the words and acts of the prophet and concludes that his prophethood is a typical case of paranoid delusion nourished with sensorial hallucinations. The psychiatrists and specialists on Islam who helped Somers do his research, it bears noting, did so only on condition of strict anonymity. Somers also wrote bestselling studies of Jesus, Biblical prophets, the Jesuit order, and Jehovah’s Witnesses, all of which were widely discussed in the media. This time, however, his book met with a deafening silence. Reviewers looked the other way, scholars of religion strictly avoided mention of the book, and even the publisher failed to publicize the book. It sold poorly and quickly became unavailable. Without any law being violated or any ban issued, Somers’ thesis was effectively prevented from entering the public discourse.

This is interesting — TWO Ramadan feasts this year at Obama’s home in DC — will there also be two Christmas or Hanukkah party feasts (yeah, right) at the White House? And who is paying for this second Muslim feast? News blurb was caught by Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs, White House hosting (another) Ramadan feast for Muslims:

Another big Ramadan feast at the White House and more of Obama’s obsessive islamization of the official White House activities. At Obama’s first big Ramadan dinner a couple of weeks ago, he announced his support of the Islamic supremacist mega mosque on Ground Zero. Now he is hosting another Ramadan dinner.

Remember last year, Obama shrunk the White House Chanukah party by more than half. According to the Jerusalem Post, “Though several Jewish leaders expressed understanding for the economic and other reasons behind the cut, they acknowledged that it would likely help feed feelings in some quarters of the American Jewish community that the White House is giving them the cold shoulder.”
