Bad News for Obama: 3 Times More Money Being Spent on Dem Ads AGAINST ObamaCare Than in Favor of It, Update on State Lawsuits Against ObamaCare (video)
Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on September 16, 2010
Someone with half a brain in the Democrat party must have finally read the power-grabbing, tax-and-spend ObamaCare monstrosity bill that will explode our economy (but likely not Michigan Democrat moron Rep. John “I Never Bothered Reading the Health Care Bill” Conyers).
Or, someone in the DNC finally looked out the window and saw millions of American voters protesting at tea parties and townhall meetings against this trillion-dollar “lack of reform, jack up the taxes, and decimate the quality of health care” disaster.
Key word in the above paragraph: VOTERS.
An increasing number of Democrat politicians (those up for re-election, anyway) are running away from their incredibly unpopular Frankenstein baby. And are now spending record amounts of money on commercials denouncing the Obama/Pelosi/Reid socialist health care program.
After all, November is coming and the polls continue to indicate a Democrat wipeout. So they’re starting to tuck in their tails and run for the hills.
Reported by Politico, Democrats spend on anti-health-reform advertisements:
Democratic candidates are spending three times more advertising against the health reform law than they are in support of it.
Since the beginning of Congress’s August recess, Democratic candidates have poured $930,000 into ads deriding the health overhaul but just $300,000 in pro-reform spots, according to Evan Tracey at Kantar Media.
“Go back to 2006, and even before that, and Democrats used health care as their No. 1 issue,” Tracey said. “They had a villain in the pharmaceutical industry. Now that they passed this law, it’s almost disarmed them rather than given them an opportunity.”
Moreover, Tracey’s data shows that health reform opponents – inside and outside of Congress – are increasingly outspending supporters. Opponents now spend seven times as much on anti-reform spots as supporters spend on pro-reform spots, a marked change from early May, when their dollars only doubled those of reform advocates.
Anti-reform forces, including the Chamber for Commerce, Americans for Prosperity and Crossroads GPS, have spent $14 million on advertisements since early August, Tracey said.
From California HealthLine, Democrats Spend More on Advertising Positions Critical of Reform Law:
The Kantar analysis also found that since early August, opponents of the overhaul have spent $14 million — or seven times the amount that proponents have spent — on ads criticizing the health care law. That is a significant change since early May, when reform opponents outspent proponents by a two-to-one margin.
It is not just Republicans advertising against the overhaul; at least five House Democrats are running re-election ads highlighting their votes against the reform law.
The most significant ad buy in support of the overhaul has come from the recently launched Health Information Center, which is rolling out a three-week, $1.8 million national ad campaign in support of the reform law.
This discussion aired on FOX earlier this week… Greta Van Susteren reported on states’ lawsuits against ObamaCare claiming that the president’s health care overhaul is unconstitutional and that the federal government overstepped its authority to force Americans to buy the government’s health care insurance.

Doug Powers, guest blogger at Michelle Malkin’s blog, made this observation on the money being spent on TV ads by Democrats against socialized health care:
When President Obama signed the “big f-in deal” health care law in the spring, he hailed it as “reforms that generations of Americans have fought for and marched for and hungered to see.”
Those “generations of Americans” obviously don’t include a great number of this generation of congressional Democrats who voted to pass the law.
From Quipster, Democrat Flight From Health Care Reform Ownership:
They were so proud and excited before. Even Vice President Joe Biden said so, as he congratulated his President Barack Obama. The applause went wild, and the ecstasy from the accomplishment of health care reform passage gave way to even more partisan buoyancy.
This is a big f*** deal.
So what happened?
[...]
Guess what Democrats in Congress. It is a big deal. But not in the way envisioned by partisan buddies. The American people have a mandate brewing.
To vote you out November 2010.
