The deplorable Rep. Alan Grayson... despicable election ad campaign in Florida uses sound bites taken out of context and used to smear Dan Webster has backfired on liar Grayson

The nastiest, creepiest, craziest jerk in Washington just surpassed all his other previous creepy, crazy acts of jerkiness. Well, maybe not all…

Grabbing sound bites and deliberately using them out of context in his latest disgraceful campaign ad has backfired royally for Rep. Alan “I’m a Crazed, Liberal Liar” Grayson.

Who knew that Florida voters were smart and well informed and could see through his clumsy lies? Obviously, not Grayson. The “Taliban Dan” ad has torpedoed his polling numbers in Florida — they’ve plummeted 7 points following his vicious, failed efforts to lie about and smear respected Republican opponent Dan Webster.

It turns out smearing your mainstream Republican, Baptist opponent as Talibanesque by altering video of him doesn’t play that well in a moderate House district or among Independents.

Thanks to his ridiculous rhetoric and just-released “Taliban Dan” ad, Rep. Alan Grayson is now running seven points behind Republican Dan Webster, according to a Sunshine State Poll.

Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27. TEA (“Taxed Enough Already”) Party candidate Peg Dunmire drew 6 percent and NPA hopeful George Metcalfe garnered 3 percent, while 9 percent remained undecided (2 percent cited “other” and 1 percent refused to state).

In another unsurprising development, Grayson may be running behind because people think he’s a giant jerk who says insane things about political opponents:

Digging deeper, the numbers look even worse for Grayson as 51 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of the Orlando-area congressman. “Grayson has real problems here,” said Jim Lee, president of Voter Survey Service, which conducted the poll for Sunshine State News.

Bad news of the day… A-holes are still giving him microphones and a platform for sharing his lies and despicable smear campaign. Good news part II…. MSNBC may have actually found a Democrat that they can finally dislike almost as much as their “favorite” Republican. Take a look at this exchange between Grayson and Contessa Brewer. She actually challenges this lunatic on his most recent ad campaign. In fairness, I must say I was impressed. Watch how Captain Crazy tries to turn the table on her.

While being fully aware of Grayson over the last nearly two years, I admit to only recently being introduced to Daniel Webster, Grayson’s political opponent, through Grayson’s colorful ads this past week. And what I have seen of Webster, so far, he seems like a soft-spoken, gentleman who might be overly polite because of his Christianly kindness. The footage of Webster that Grayson hacked the “she should submit to me” soundbite from … I think people are missing the core point when discussing this. Webster’s message to the gathering is one of personal responsibility, self-reflectiveness, selfless sacrifice and giving, and not self-centeredness in your marriage. “She can pray that … if she wants to …”

…The numbers look even worse for Grayson as 51 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of the Orlando-area congressman.

“Grayson has real problems here,” said Jim Lee, president of Voter Survey Service, which conducted the poll for Sunshine State News.

“He’s even more unpopular than the president, which is not surprising given how controversial he has been with his rhetoric, overall style and TV ads.”

Lee added, “It’s fascinating that both Grayson and the president have virtually the same image (a positive/negative ratio of 34/51), but Grayson is actually disliked more by independents (36/47 favorable/unfavorable) while Obama is only 36/37.”

Tom Gaitens, Florida director for FreedomWorks, said the Washington, D.C-based tea group has focused on the CD8 race “from the beginning.”

“Grayson is an obnoxious antagonist to tea partiers and raised the ire of the movement,” Gaitens said. “He’s probably the biggest lightning rod-type candidate in the nation.”

With controversial TV ads like “Taliban Dan,” in which the Democrat tried to portray the Baptist Webster as a religious extremist, “Grayson put himself in the crosshairs,” Gaitens said.

“It’s his character to say foolish things, and he doesn’t handle stress well. He’ll see this poll and get more desperate,” said Gaitens, who predicts a 10-point victory for Webster.

Female voters are anything but ambivalent about Grayson — “They really loathe him,” Lee reported. With Grayson’s 33/53 favorable/unfavorable rating among women, Webster’s lead among females is much stronger (45/33 over Grayson) compared to a statistical tie (41/40 Webster) among males.

“The way Grayson is spending money has negated his advantage,” Sere added. “His over-the-top and, in some cases, despicable ads have been deemed false. Even left-wing bloggers are coming out against him.

I am green with envy over his spot-on depiction of the Representative from Bat Sh-t Crazy, Florida [and certainly not because I have a drop of Goddamn Irish Catholic blood in me — another issue for another day].

Reminder… Grayson is on the “Socialists in Congress” list. Which means his political ideology and personal agenda are the exact opposite of that of the majority of Americans and against the foundation of this country set forth by our founding fathers in the Constitution.

Another reminder… Grayson’s website claims he’s a man “with guts.” No one’s saying if those guts are pig, hyena, or skunk.
