Winner of “Sexiest Shoe of the Year” Award, Just in Time for Halloween

Posted By on October 24, 2010

Hmm… I’m thinking Halloween pole dancer costume with a pair of these shoes.

This 5-inch slingback by Christian Louboutin was voted 'Sexiest Shoe of the Year' this past week

But for the laughingly high, eyes-popping-from-their-sockets price tag, it’s doubtful any normal woman with rent to pay would ever buy these overpriced Christian Louboutin shoes to pair with a Halloween tart costume.

Likely, though, these will be put on the wish list of celebrity shoe addicts Mariah Carey and self-styled singer Lady Gaga.

From Shine, Christian Louboutin’s Maralena Named The Official “Sexiest Shoe Of The Year”:

No matter how fierce you feel in your tallest pair of stilettos, they can’t hold a candle to Christian Louboutin’s “Maralena,” which was just named the sexiest shoe of the year.

Last week, Saks Fifth Avenue and Footwear News teamed up for a “Sexy Shoes” contest, vetting 22 pairs of Jimmy Choos, Brian Atwoods, Manolo Blahniks and more to decide which ones held the most allure. And the prize, after more than 8,000 shoppers cast their votes, went to these five-inch, Swarovski-encrusted slingback Louboutins.

They certainly don’t come cheap — $2,445, to be exact! — but they do have the distinction of causing more tongues to wag than any other stem made this year.

At least they’re more sensible than these painful whackadoo shoes…
