Rev. Sharpton Spews Again, Wants FCC to Silence Rush Limbaugh by Threatening Radio Stations, Plus Vote Slotted for Obama’s FCC Internet Takeover Next Month (video)

Left-wing race baiter Rev. Al Sharpton wants FCC to silence conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh
For a despicable, falsehood-telling, race baiter like Rev. Al Sharpton to suggest that the First Amendment should exclude Rush Limbaugh and others with whom he doesn’t agree is precisely the hypocritical mantra of the left-wing.
Regulation for thee, but not for me.
Rev. Sharpton offends many Americans, including many conservative blacks. However, there is no asterisk on the Constitution. Freedom of speech is NOT a guarantee of not ever being offended.
If it were, we wouldn’t have to deal with listening to the ignorant, nasty, hate-filled leftist rants of Bill Maher, Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann, Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Janeane Garofalo, Sean Penn, many of the Democrats in Congress, or the Dixie Chicks — although, for being such despicable anti-Americans, the latter do sing well.
And we most definitely would not have to listen to Rev. Sharpton. But the Constitution’s First Amendment permits him to spew and sputter his race-baiting rhetoric without government backlash.
As it should be. Because this is America.
Rev. Al Sharpton: Time for FCC to Censor Limbaugh’s Speech

And part of what I think the FCC needs to do is give the guidelines of what is excusable and what is not. What is permit-able, or permitted I should say, and what is not because clearly you’re not trying to block free speech.
But, I think that for people to engage in programming shows that will use racial or gender bias as their format, we’ve got a right to say there are standards that the FCC can say that you cannot continue to have licenses to do that. You got to remember that those stations that Rush Limbaugh is on and others are regulated by FCC, granted by FCC. They go back to them to get waivers. They go back to them to get consolidation.
They have the right to set standards that does not impair your right to speak what you believe, but it does say that you are not going to be able to do that to offend groups of Americans based on their race their gender, their sexual status, none of that.
For the record, Limbaugh has never said anything racist on his program. He does discuss race issues, points out the lunacy and hypocrisy of those like Sharpton who want to keep stirring the pot of fear and don’t want race relations or welfare issues to ever be resolved. Because then Sharpton would have to get a real job (my words, not Limbaugh’s, although it’s possible he’s expressed that at some time).

Al Sharpton has called for the FCC to go after the stations that carry Rush Limbaugh, unsubtly implying that their licenses should be in jeopardy. Sharpton made his speech-chilling suggestion to Ed Schultz on the latter’s MSNBC show this evening.
The background is the back-and-forth betweeen Schultz and Rush regarding Limbaugh’s comments on Jim Clyburn, Pres. Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee. But the bottom line is that the left wants to find an excuse, any excuse, to grab the mike from the man who has wreaked so much havoc on their cause.
Reminder: Next month, as I’ve written about several times in the past, the Obama administration, via the FCC, has been chomping at the bit and will be voting on taking control of the Internet. Obama and his statist cronies are rushing to pass new regulations under the grotesque misnomer “net neutrality” in December before the new members of Congress are installed. Freedom of speech is hanging by a thread, buckeroos.
The Democrats have already forgotten the midterm elections, forgotten that the majority of Americans want smaller government, less government intrusion, and more fiscal responsibility.
